As a stay-at-home wife, I’m able to offer a highly flexible schedule that allows me to be present with the dogs in my care throughout the day. Because I’m home full-time, I can maintain a consistent routine of feeding, walks, playtime, and supervision without interruption. My detached house on 1 full acre provides a quiet, comfortable environment, and the fenced in play yard allows for safe outdoor time and exercise. I also have crates available for dogs who are crate-trained or require a secure resting space. Dog boarding fits naturally into my daily routine, giving me the ability to provide constant attention, structure, and companionship to each dog I welcome into my home. This setup ensures that dogs are never left alone for extended periods and always receive the care and engagement they need.

Safety, trust & environment

I provide attentive, individualized care based on each pet’s routine and needs. In my home, I follow the pet’s established schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions to ensure comfort and consistency. I maintain a calm, safe environment. I take only one client per day, meaning your dog will never be in direct contact with other clients' animals. This strict policy allows the proper time to provide your pup with plenty of attention and supervision, while avoiding all the issues that can occur from multi-dog daycare environments. Your pup would be around my fixed male dogs, whom are 10 years old (border terrier and doberman), well socialized, but will not play. They're just too old for it nowadays. If you are looking for a home where they will have a playmate during their visit, I am happy to play fetch/tug-of-war/tag in our 1 acre fenced in yard through out the day. If your dog doesn't do well around either dogs, and/or the meet and greet of our pets do not go well, I can offer a rotation system using 2 degrees of separation (door and crate) every 2 hours from 6am-11pm. If this is required, my service fees would increase by 25% of the base rate. I would need to pay my daughter to supervise your pet's crate time to ensure safety and comfort. This 25% additional fee goes directly to her. My focus is always on safety, clear communication, and creating a stress-free experience so each pet feels secure and well-cared-for during their stay.

A typical day

🐾 Morning Romp in the Yard After breakfast, your pup and I head out to the fenced play yard for some quality one-on-one fun. I let them set the pace—whether that’s zoomies, chasing a ball, tug-of-war, or just wandering around sniffing all the interesting morning scents. 🌄 Leisurely Walks on the Dirt Roads Once they’re ready, we go for a relaxed walk down the quiet dirt roads. With no other dogs to compete with for attention, your pup gets all the time they want to sniff, explore, and enjoy the peaceful countryside. 💦 Private Doggy Pool Time If your dog enjoys water, we’ll have a splash session in the shallow doggy swimming pool on hot days. I sit right by the edge and we take it slowly—tossing floating toys, encouraging gentle paddling, or just letting them dip their paws to cool off. 🧠 Personalized Enrichment Games Throughout the day, I set up mental activities tailored just for your dog, such as: Sniff-and-seek treasure hunts Food puzzles or frozen treats Their favorite toys and games Trick practice or simple training refreshers at their comfort level (if you would like training reinforcement, please let me know) 🌳 Relaxing Shade Time After play, your dog and I hang out in the shady part of the yard or on the porch. They can nap, chew a toy, or just lean in for some quiet petting and companionship. 🏃 Evening Stroll & Gentle Play As the day cools down, we go for another walk or a slow jog—whatever fits their energy. We end with some soft evening play in the yard to settle them in for the night. 🌙 Bedtime Wind-Down We finish the day with calm wind-down time on the couch followed by some cozy bedding, soft music, and plenty of affection so your dog feels safe, relaxed, and right at home.

Sarah was absolutely amazing with our dogs, Princess and Cosmo! We needed someone we could truly trust while we made the necessary preparations for a military move from Trenton to Halifax, and Sarah completely exceeded our expectations. Here is why we highly recommend her: * **Patient & Caring:** She welcomed our dogs with open arms during what could have been a very stressful transition time for our family. * **Attentive to Their Needs:** She took the time to truly learn each dog's individual personality, which meant the world to us. * **Safety & Comfort First:** She went above and beyond to make sure both Princess and Cosmo were incredibly comfortable, happy, and safe throughout their entire stay. If you are looking for a sitter who will treat your pets like her own, look no further than Sarah. Thank you so much for giving us total peace of mind!

Boarding with Sarah was a great experience for Lady as she provided excellent care for Lady. Sarah kept me updated on Lady's well-being including some fun details (inc. pictures) of my dog. I would use her services again. Thank you Sarah!
