Hi I'm Sarah, and I'm a very calm reiki practitioner and animal communicator with gentle energy, who's grown up with a love for dogs and small animals. As an adult I've continued to enjoy having dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils and birds as part of my family and I currently live with bearded dragon Hercules and leopard gecko Sophie. As well as my own and family pets, I've been looking after my client's dogs for 5 years, offering walks, home care visits, and overnight sitting at their homes. The dogs enjoy cuddles, home comforts and their usual routine, whilst the owners enjoy peace of mind knowing that their pets are having a fun time too. Recently I was blessed with caring for my own senior dog with a terminal illness, so I'm experienced and very happy to care for senior, post surgery, less able and terminally ill pets, who may need some extra time and tlc. I enjoy animals of any size, but prefer to walk dogs on-lead until I feel confident that they know me well enough for good recall, and that I can keep them totally safe. I am DBS checked, mature, experienced and have recently completed a certificated course on understanding and supporting brachycephalic (short faced) dog breeds and am renewing my canine first aid in November 2026.

I love caring for pets in their own home, so that they can relax and enjoy their usual home comforts and routine walks when you can't be there yourself. Having also had the personal experience of caring for my elderly dog through terminal illness, I realised how important it was to have someone trusted alongside when I needed to go out, and I would love to offer that same care and peace of mind to others, during that precious time. I can prepare their meals, groom, give oral and topical medication, enjoy walks, playtime and lots of cuddles (if tolerated) and will adjust my level of interaction to suit each pet's needs and personality

Sarah looked after our Jack Russell Mia many times over the years. Mia was a poorly dog who was on steroids full time for a skin issue and mostly blind and passed at the age of 13. Whilst she was alive, Sarah was the only person we trusted to take good care of our precious pet as she truly understood her limitations with her sight, how important our stair gates were to keep her safe, and how the slightest change (new furniture, a chair not tucked under the dining table etc) would create a trip/fall risk for her and ensured to monitor her surroundings and manage any hazards as best as possible. She helped manage daily medication as well as short term medication at times when she was poorly/recovering from an operation and (at my request) sent photos of her happily playing so I could fully relax and knew she was not only receiving her basic care but was having fun too! Sarah helped look after Mia for short periods of time as well as long days and overnight stays if we were unable to take her with us. When our children are older and we're ready to open our hearts and our home to a furry friend again, we would not hesitate to use her services again and we highly recommend her.

Schedule
I currently enjoy offering animal care and childcare as and when needed. My availability is very flexible, daytime, evenings, weekends and overnight, and I can be booked in advance or short notice if required.
