Pet care experience

We are a beagle house hold but we love all the dogs! Seniors, puppies, and dogs in between are all welcome. All dogs need to be dog friendly and kid friendly. We have a puppy that loves to play, a senior dog that likes to sleep, and another dog that likes to do both. We have dog friends for every type of visiting dog. All clients will be asked for their email and need to complete an intake form prior to drop off. I am CPR certified for dogs and cats by the American Red Cross. Able to give all dog medications. We have cameras inside and outside to monitor the dogs at all times. I have a masters degree in social work, a bachelors in criminal justice and I am a licensed drug and alcohol counselor. I always wanted to help people but decided I rather be home with my daughter and dogs instead. Dogs are much better company. Majority of meet and greets are held in my fenced in back yard. Puppies that are not fully bathroom trained will have an additional fee. All dogs need to be up to date on vaccines and flea and tick prior to meeting and boarding. A copy can be emailed or brought to meet and greet. My backyard is sprayed for ticks and mosquitos through the year but all dogs still need to be on a preventive. If your dog uses a crate please let me know prior to boarding. We do not use crates unless your dog is crate trained and uses a crate at home. There will be an additional fee for multiple daily medications. We are available for short stays and long stays.

Sarah took care of my dog Boomer well! This is the second time in two weeks we left Boomer with Sarah. It was very rare for him, a rescue dog who is very cautious to those outside family, not to growl to someone trying to reach with hand while in my wife’s arms. It happened to Sarah. It means that Boomer trusts Sarah. It shows how much she cared for Boomer while he is with her. I will definitely take Boomer again to Sarah next time.

Sarah is an expert on taking care of dogs. Although my dog, Boomer, is a rescue dog and has fear of strangers, he loved her and had a great time at her house with her family. He especially loved Sarah's young daughter. Sarah updated me with texts and photos how Boomer is doing. I'll definitely board my dog with Sarah again in the future.

This is our go-to place for our girl. Artemis has her own get away while we are away. She absolutely adores the family and other dogs. She is in great hands!

Safety, trust & environment

Fully fenced in yard with a privacy fence. No dog is left alone for more then two hours at a time. All dogs are separated for feedings. Rover star sitter status changes every four months. Rovers star sitter is a certain criteria with answering booking requests fast, not canceling a booking, and taking a certain amount of new clients each quarter of the year. Some months I could have star sitter status and some months I might not. I will always prioritize the safety of your dog, my dogs, and family. Rover penalizes a sitter for not accepting every new request they might receive. Unfortunately, sometimes some dogs might not be a good fit for myself or family. And with not accepting every booking a sitter can lose “star status.” But again I want to make sure every pet in my care is safe.
