I'm currently working in an internship and taking a few online courses. However, my scedule is pretty flexible. I prefer to walk animals before dark but am pretty open throughout the day.

I have a fenced-in backyard and live within walking distance of a small dog park. I have all the necessary supplies to crate and entertain dogs if needed however I'd prefer to look after the animals in the client's home. This is because I have two dogs of my own who're quite excitable and large as well as not having much extra space in my house for the animals to run around. Overall, I feel like I'll be able to better care for the animals in an environment they're more accustomed to. In a client's home, I'd request a walkthrough of where food and toys for the animals were and would be careful not to disturb anything in the house outside of those. Stopping by to check on, feed, clean and walk the animal if necessary would be no problem.

Please let me know if your pets have any special needs, accommodations, traits, quirks, or things I should take notice and/or be cautious of! I want to give the best possible care to any animal I look after and knowing this information would be a huge help!
A typical day
When doing a drop in visit, depending on the length of time, I try to get a couple things done. At minimum I would change water (+food if needed), make sure they go out, clean up any messes made, give them outside time if possible (weather, accessibility), play a bit, and give attention/affection if they (the animal) wants it. I'm open as well if there are any special accommodations or activities your pet would require or enjoy as well!

I've had animals for the majority of my life and have both watched and later helped in taking care of them. This ranges from cats to dogs, to fish, lizards, hamsters, gerbils, and guinea pigs. I'll be taking a short course in dog care and have cared for the animals of family and friends before. I'm very empathetic, have volunteered with care groups and adoption agencies for animals, and have assisted in training both the dogs I have at home. I've also cared for animals with slight special needs like needing medicine applied, pills taken, or simply elderly and require special diet instructions.

Sarah does such a great job taking care of our cat, Callie. Sarah is a great communicator and she makes sure she understands our instructions. She follows these to a T. In addition, she takes pictures and report cards which made us so happy and gave us such peace of mind.
Sarah is fantastic! She does such a great job with Bella and very conscience.
