Having recently lost my cat to old age, I have started fostering adult cats and kittens through a local shelter. I have been a puppy sitter for 3 service dog organizations for couple of years now, including a fair amount of training required for each and I have been unofficially pet sitting and taking care of pets all of my life. I've been sitting with Rover as a side job for about a year. Growing up I volunteered at an animal shelter and currently foster cats. I've had more cats in my life than dogs but even my friend's dogs have adopted me :). I work from home most days with a relatively flexible schedule but do have to schedule around meetings sometimes. For all of my services, my main task is to please the customer (within reason) so whatever you are looking for is what I will do. For cats I'm really good at opening cans of food, scooping poop and playing peek-a-boo pounce or ignoring them, you know whatever they need. Dog walks will include a nice walk to either wherever they normally go or if you aren't bothered, we'll go on a safe adventure and of course, I clean up after them. If I'm house-sitting, this involves keeping them alive, healthy, and as happy as they can be without their human(s) home.
