Pet care experience
Your dog is my favorite!
You need someone who'll love and care for your dog like they're my own. I'm here to help. I've owned dogs, fostered dogs, and been a dogsitter most of my adult life. My most recent girl, Sadie, was an overreactive border collie mix who taught us so much, and brought us on a journey to learn about counter conditioning. Currently I'm between dogs, so your dog can be the only dog here. Prior to getting on Rover.com, main clients were friends' dogs, including mainly medium-to-large lab, retriever, border collie, labradoodle, boxer, and many a beloved unidentifiable mixed breed. I'm a soft touch for belly rubs and couch cuddles. I love to walk, hike, and play ball in the backyard. I use positive reinforcement only, so can't take care of your pet if you use a shock collar, prong collar or other aversives.

Sarah H. cancelled a booking 1 day before it was scheduled to begin.
This was our first time booking a stay for our dog in Sarah’s home, but definitely won’t be our last! From the time we met her for our meet & greet I felt so comfortable about leaving Winnie with her for our 2 week trip. She is extremely knowledgeable, caring & compassionate. We really appreciated the wonderful, loving care that she took of Winnie & highly recommend her! Thank you so much, Sarah! Our time away was stress free because of you!

Sarah is always so great with our pup, Lulu! Lulu comes back happy, loved, and sleepy :)

Sarah was the best!!! She took such great care of Nova while we were on vacation and sent us daily updates! Nova is currently recovering from surgery and Sarah has been wonderful in making sure she was doing well

We (and our dog) loved Sarah. We felt very good about leading our dog with her for the first time. She asked great questions and knew what she was doing. Our boy had a great time and Sarah sent pics every day.

Sarah was wonderful with Wally, along detailed questions about his care and checking in to let me know how he was doing. He has serious separation anxiety, and she was patient and caring and offered helpful suggestions and removed for working with him. I’ll definitely book with her if I’m in the area again.

Schedule
FT work-from-home software marketing professional, so your dogs get outside time every 2 hours, they get walks in a.m. and p.m., and they get attention and love throughout the day. We're on a quiet street, and only about a 10-minute walk from Shelby Park trails.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I play by your rules because your dog deserves as much consistency as possible. So you just communicate what you need done re: food, medicines, boundaries, training, exercise, etc., and it will get done. My shady backyard has a solid, 6-foot cedar fence, and I don't use any chemicals in our yard.
A typical day
Regular daily walks are in our quiet residential streets. Longer walks are to the Shelby Park trails, which are just a few blocks away. If your dog likes to hike, on the weekend I can drive to a local trail and go hiking. I have a safe, fenced backyard that is excellent for playing fetch and tug. If your dog enjoys mental challenges, I can do clicker training or snuffle mats or puzzle balls ... there's lots of fun to be had at my house!
