New and eager to help the community
I was the go-to pet sitter for my neighbour before I moved and now, being out of work and waiting for some surgery, I’m available to expand to others in the area. I have a 2.5 year old Golden Retriever and learnt A LOT training him to be an assistance dog (adolescence tests us all!)

Sarah is extremely competent and caring when it comes to dogs. She is caring, builds routine, and engages incredibly well with them. Her understanding of what a dog needs from physical to mental stimulation is fantastic. I can think of no better person to look after your pet whilst you are away or need some respite for whatever reason. They will be exceptionally well looked after and have a great time.

Schedule
I’m out of work for the first time in my life and have a lot of time on my hands! My typical day involves playing with Max first thing, then a walk from 11-12, I get everything I need done while he’s napping during the afternoon, then training or enrichment games before dinner. Grooming and then a last activity before bed.

I have an open-plan bungalow with a large fenced garden. I have a paddling pool for the hot days, as well as an aircon unit for the even hotter ones! There are plenty of toys to go around but Max is super social and will play until he falls asleep! I have a large crate, a raised bed, and blankets for rest times but they can also chill on the sofa or out in the garden.

A typical day
Finding the right balance of rest, play, and physical and mental stimulation is vital. Depending on the length of their stay, your dog can look forward to a long walk in the countryside, ball games and paddling pool fun in the garden, training games, mental enrichment toys, and nice long naps!
