Love & snuggles for your pup

Pet care experience

I believe dogs are the purest of friends we can find on this earth and will cherish your pup as if it were my own. I am warm, prompt, communicative, and will happily send photos and videos of your dog to reassure you that all is well! I know how stressful leaving your dog at home can be, and will be accessible and receptive to any level of communication that you need. I am here to not only care your pup, but also help keep your own anxiety at bay! I am from a family of die-hard yellow lab lovers and am current sister to 7 year old yellow lab named Theo. Our favorite activities together are hide and seek with treats or toys, and evening massages to help him calm down before bedtime. Your dog will be equally loved by me!

Sarah was amazing! I needed someone super last minute and she responded right away and was here in 30 minutes. She was a lifesaver! I would definitely recommend her and use her again!

Sarah is one of the most caring and friendly people you will ever meet, she will surely become your dogs best friend. Her love for meeting new dogs is only rivaled by the love of her own dog Theo! I have never met a more reliable and professional walker in my life, I always knew my dogs Rusty (retriever) and Ned (dachshund) were in the best of hands.

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a very dog-friendly apartment complex in the Barton Springs/Bluffs area, right by the Greenbelt trailhead. My apartment is ground level and opens up onto an unfenced yard area perfect for potty breaks. My studio apartment is approx. 450 square feet, so pretty small but your dog is welcome to have free reign on the couch and bed (if they are allowed to do so in their own home, of course!). When I take care of dogs in another person's home, I try to arrange my schedule such that I am never gone for more than 3-4 hours in the entire day. I understand the anxiety pets deal with when their beloved hoomans are away, so I am very committed to adjusting my schedule to prioritize being with the dog as much as possible.

Information Sarah H. would like to know about your pet

Would like to know how he/she interacts with other dogs - is the dog aggressive, any prior biting or fighting instances, how much energy does the dog have, how receptive is the dog to a new caretaker and strangers?

A typical day

I live right by the Greenbelt trail and love walking the 1.5 miles to Barton Springs and Zilker! The trail can be a little rocky though, so it's not great for all dogs, especially more senior dogs that might have mobility issues. For them, we can take pleasant strolls around the neighborhood which is very quiet and nestled away amongst the trees. And of course, stopping by the Thom's Market on Spyglass Drive for a post-walk treat and some cold water! I also have a garden plot at the Deep Eddy Community Garden along the river, and I would love to bring your pup there for an enriching and educational stroll - so many interesting critters and sniffs! Red Bud Isle is my personal favorite walking spot in Austin, and I am an avid birdwatcher as well so would happily take your dog to Commons Ford park for a longer excursion as the weather/heat allows! There are some nice trails there, including some elevation and the occasional freshwater spring.

I am a graduate student in my final semester and am working part time entirely from the home. I have ample time to tend to your pet with snuggles and long walks outside! Theo dog featured in my profile picture is a family dog, who does not live with me currently. So my attention is 100% for your pup!
