It’s important for me to know as much as possible about your pet’s routine, behaviour, and specific needs before caring for them. This includes their feeding requirements, any medical conditions or allergies, how they behave around other animals or strangers, and what makes them feel safe or anxious. I also ask about their favourite toys, walking preferences, and any house rules they’re used to (like furniture boundaries or treat limits). The more I know ahead of time, the better I can provide care that feels familiar and comfortable for the pet—and gives peace of mind to the owner.

Every pet is unique, so I try to tailor activities to match their personality, energy level, and routine. A typical day might include a brisk walk for dogs—exploring local parks or quiet residential areas with plenty of sniffing time and positive interaction. Some may require slower pace and I adapt to their needs. For pets staying at home, I’ll engage them with their favorite toys, gentle play, or cuddles if they enjoy affection. I also provide mental stimulation through treat training games if appropriate. For cats and smaller animals, I spend time playing, brushing (if they like it), and making sure they’re relaxed and happy. My goal is to make every visit enjoyable, stress-free and comforting for them while keeping their routine consistent and familiar.
