A typical day
There are several parks in the neighborhood that will be stimulating and great for a sniff walk. If your dog is reactive, mine is too! So I know the routes to avoid the most dogs too. I’m a huge proponent of enrichment toys/games in conjunction with a nice long walk.

I have grown up around dogs and currently have two of my own— a pittie and a chihuahua. Both are rescues that I’ve trained to leash walk, overcome separation anxiety, and become increasingly less dog reactive. I’ve worked with many trainers on proper walking techniques and volunteered with shelters. I have lived in the city for nearly 10 years and know a lot of great walks. Most of all, I take pet care very seriously and joined Rover because of my genuine love for dogs.

Sarah was great! She came to walk our dog while we were out of town and our dog loved her. They played, and walked and she handled his reactive behavior on a leash very well. She communicated when she needed to change times and was very reliable! Her reports and pictures were detailed and it was reassuring to see him having fun while we were away. Highly recommend !
