I work full time, but work from home on both Mondays and Fridays, so I have time to spare for dog walking or drop ins for dogs and cats. I am also available to spend longer periods of time with your pets on these days as I can work from anywhere with them. I am often around on weekends as I currently have a cat, kitten, and foster cat at home and like to spend as much time as possible with them. I am available to make time throughout the day or in the mornings/evenings as needed to best suit your pet!

My apartment in Brooklyn is large with plenty of space for furry friends and house guests, and I have the ability to separate guests and my resident cats in different rooms if your pet would prefer to be the only pet around. However, if your pet (especially cats!) would like friends while you’re out of town, my cats are quite friendly with others! I will do my best to care for any and all of your pet’s needs whether in my home or yours, and will be sure to give them plenty of love and pets so they still feel loved while you’re away. I am always sure to take photos or provide updates if requested, and will be sure to follow all instructions carefully so your pet is happy, healthy and safe!

Let me know if your pet has any preferences for walks (distance, timing, number of walks per day) and what their normal routine / things they like to do include! I’m happy to be flexible based on your pet’s needs and meet them where they are. Also please let me know about any dietary restrictions or specific types of treats they can have, or if there is anything else I should know about them :)
A typical day
I love getting outside for walks and will walk your pup as long and as far as they would like! We’ll play lots of games with their toys or mine, I’ll give them lots of snuggles, and I also love coming up with fun challenging games for pups like finding treats wrapped in a towel burrito, playing hide and seek with treats or toys, etc.

Pet care experience
I’ve been caring for animals of all kinds (mainly cats and kittens, dogs and puppies, but also extending to hamsters, bunnies, mice, Guinea pigs, fish and even chinchillas!) since I started my own “pet sitting business” for neighbors at age 7. I’ve owned several cats with my family and on my own over the years, and also frequently foster both kitten siblings and single cats with the ASPCA. (My current cat is a foster fortune!) I have experience training puppies (we raised one during Covid for Guiding Eyes for the Blind) and I have helped train and socialize puppies with friends. I also have experience walking large dogs, or multiple dogs at once. I also have experience with bathing, grooming, and administering medicine for both dogs and cats.

I’m so grateful for Sarah! I had a work emergency and she was able to come by and take care of my pets on very short notice. She was wonderful with my dog who has mobility issues, took her to our dog run, and fed and played with my cats. And she sent photos of the pets who all looked extremely happy! And Sarah was so easy and kind to work with throughout, and responded super fast to all of my messages. I highly recommend Sarah!
