I worked in veterinary medicine for 7 years at two different emergency animal hospitals in Calgary (one that treated birds, reptiles, rabbits and pocket pets in addition to cats and dogs). For 3 years I worked for a veterinary oncologist treating canine and feline cancer and supporting paw-rents through these diagnoses. I hold a diploma in veterinary assisting (2014). I am trained in canine and feline husbandry, and canine behaviour. I am confident caring for dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, reptiles, birds and pocket pets. I excel at working with dogs that require extra time warming up, struggle in certain environments, are withdrawn or scared, or have been known to act aggressively.

Ratings and reviews
I had two senior cats who need a little extra care, so it’s always a little stressful leaving them. Sarah was very confident when it came to the meds and supplements my cats need, and I felt reassured knowing they were in her care. The house was tidy when we returned and the cats seemed pretty chill!
Sarah was the perfect sitter for Earl! I have a young pup and needed someone to stay at my house pretty much the whole time, and have the patience to deal with an energetic puppies shark bites. She came and met me and Earl before so that we would feel comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend Sarah. Such a relief knowing I am able to leave Earl in good hands. Ps. The house was all clean when I got back too!
Sarah was wonderful! She was very calm and gentle with our somewhat fearful, unconfident dog, and by the end of her three visits with him he really liked her. She is very knowledgeable about dogs, & provided exercise and enrichment in the form of some dog puzzles on one very cold day. She even leant us a dog harness because we had forgotten ours. We will definitely try to book Sarah again when we are next in Fernie.
Sarah was excellent with Breezy from her first meeting with her. Obviously very experienced with dogs. Great prompt communication. Would not hesitate to have her back to walk Breezy. Thank you!
Echo had a fantastic time and I really appreciated the focus on long leash recall and socialization as well as the communication throughout the visit. Echo had only met Sarah once briefly but was super happy to see her which eases my mind.
