Pet care experience

Weekend petsitter of furballs

For years, I've been an attentive caregiver of dogs. I started doing so for friends and family, then it became a fun occupation. Dogs are such a joy, and I love having them around. I've spent time with working dogs (GSD's), senior dogs (meds and special attention needed), anxious dogs, talkative, sassy little nuggets, high-energy hounds, and adorable, loving loaves.

Safety, trust & environment

***Important: I do not accept bookings from new clients that are within 8 days of the request.*** I know each dog is different, and you want them to feel at ease and live as close to their routine as possible with me. I like to know what is best for your pet's temperament — whether they need to be crated, prefer to spend time with people, need rest, or a lot of exercise. I welcome any helpful information you can share to ensure their care (training, meds, etc.) is continuous.

Sarah was easy to work with and communicated well. She sent regular updates and left the house very clean. I was very happy when I came home and found a happy dog and a clean home!

Sarah watched our dog while we were getting married. It was such a relief to know our boy was in good hands.

Sarah was awesome! Very responsive, great with our pup and would recommend her to anyone. We have a senior pup so we had peace of mind being gone from her

Sarah did such a great job house-sitting for a few days and taking care of my cat, Lola! Lola is a lovable cuddle bug who can be a little picky about who she warms up to, but she loved Sarah! Sarah sent me daily Lola updates and took great care of the house. I would definitely recommend her for cat-sitting and house-sitting, and will absolutely book her in the future when I go out of town. Thanks Sarah!

Schedule

I like being outdoors and going for neighborhood walks, car rides, and hikes with doggos. It's a priority to keep dogs safe and help them adjust when their environment changes so if there are special treats or owner preferences, I welcome hearing the guidelines. I am open to learning how your dog prefers playtime, socializing, and getting exercise.

With new clients, I always appreciate advance communication on what to expect such as whether your dog is reactive on a leash or has any other behaviors to be aware of that could catch me off guard. Since I am getting to know your dog, knowing about their daily routine and successful approaches for building trust is welcome. Logistically, with new clients, I need the following: -> A one-sheet document with information about your dog and your home (emergency contact information, vet information, where the extra dog supplies are, etc). For the home, I need to know if there is anything particular about a home that you know naturally, but might be tricky for someone new. Like the following: -> Certain doors self-look behind you. -> The smoke alarm is low battery. -> You can find cleaning supplies (under the kitchen sink, in the garage, etc)
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
