I’ve been lucky enough to spend my whole life around animals and had a childhood surrounded by ponies, horses, a collie, a Belgian sheepdog, lots of cats, sheep, and even Muscovy ducks. Caring for animals has always been a wonderful part of life for me. As an adult, I rescued Brewster, a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Mastiff mix who had been re-homed several times due to his extremely high energy levels. With structure and the right routine, he settled beautifully and became my beloved gentle giant. I also have experience with springadors and other high-energy breeds. I’ve looked after friends’ cats in both flats and farm settings, and cared for horses while their owners were away on holiday. I work part-time as a secondary supply teacher, so I’m used to being in a trusted, responsible role where clear communication is essential. If you’re looking for someone experienced, reliable, and genuinely comfortable with all kinds of animals, I’d love to help.

I cannot recommend Sarah highly enough. Her love for animals is obvious from the moment you meet her. I have watched her care for everything from horses and farm animals to cats and dogs and the way she connects with each one is something quite special. With dogs in particular she has an instinctive ability to read what they need. I have seen her work confidently with very large breeds and dogs who come with their own stories whether that is nervous temperaments, past trauma or socialisation challenges. Where some people might feel out of their depth Sarah stays calm and grounded and she understands how to support a dog so they feel safe and confident with her. I’ve witnessed her handle all kinds of breeds in all kinds of situations and she brings the same steady patience, kindness and care every time. When she is out walking she is incredibly mindful of the dog’s environment. She pays attention to what is going on around her, anticipates anything that might unsettle a dog and adapts the pace and route so the dog is always protected and at ease so they can get back to the important tasks of sniffing everything and having fun! Her experience shows in the small details which make a huge difference. What you’ll also see instantly is how much she genuinely enjoys being with dogs and has fun with them. She truly loves spending time with them and that shines through in every choice she makes. From my own experience I would trust her with any animal. She is kind, reliable, thoughtful and genuinely cares about the wellbeing of every animal she looks after. You simply could not leave your furry family member in better hands!

I am available for dog walks and drop-in visits throughout the week and at weekends, with weekend house sitting also available with notice. I provide calm, reliable care tailored to your pet’s usual routine and always aim to help pets feel safe, settled, and comfortable in their own environment.
