Pet care experience

Certified, professional dog trainer

My name is Sarah and I have had a lifelong love for animals. Aside from my personal experiences, I have been working with and training dogs for over 8 years now. I am a professional dog trainer that is certified through the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers (CPDT-KA). I focus on building a relationship with the dogs and helping the owners communicate effectively! Training can be done in my home, your home or in public. If you are in need of day or overnight care, I can also help! After we have met and introduced, I would determine if your dog would be a good fit to stay the night with us while you and your family go out of town. Each dog is part of the family when they’re here! We enjoy playing in our large fenced yard, going on walks/hikes, and cuddling on the couch. Dogs will be staying in a crate whenever they are unsupervised, eating, and at night. Owners must also provide an up-to-date vaccination record and NEGATIVE parasite fecal test.

Sarah is amazing with our dog, Nova! She’s very attentive with each dogs behavior, and always taking them on fun walks/adventures! I highly recommend her to everyone!

A typical day

I enjoy taking dogs to fun, outdoor areas such as hiking trails, parks, ponds/lakes (if they like to swim), etc. I also enjoy taking dogs into pet-friendly buildings to expose them to public environments, especially if their owners wish to travel with them. My dogs enjoy playing with other dogs and a game (or 2) of fetch is always on the schedule for the day!

I accept any breed of dog as long as they are assessed and approved to come to our home. I will need to know anything that may make the dog uncomfortable, such as sleeping arrangements, food/toy aggression, potty habits, etc. I require all dogs to be up-to-date on their vaccinations with proof of paperwork and a negative parasite/Giardia fecal test. I accept unaltered dogs, including females in heat.
