In a pet owner’s home, I respect their space and follow their instructions closely to keep routines consistent—everything from feeding schedules and exercise to favorite toys and cozy spots. I double-check that doors, gates, and fences are secure, and I provide regular updates with photos so owners feel at ease. If I’m hosting in my own home, I create a safe and welcoming space by removing hazards, ensuring plenty of fresh water, and providing enrichment through walks, playtime, and cuddle time. I keep a close eye on behavior and body language, and I’m comfortable adjusting the environment to reduce stress or overstimulation. No matter the setting, I treat each pet with patience, compassion, and the same care I’d want for my own.
