Safety, trust & environment

I show up when needed, talk to the pets, show them lots of love and attention, and take care of my responsibilities (feeding, letting outside, walking, medication etc). My main gig is flight instructing. Everything in flying has a checklist so you can count on me to follow any instructions you leave me.

Information Sarah D. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog/cat has a history of biting and how they like to be approached. For dogs I'd like to know if they are cool with being pet by strangers.

A typical day

Entering someone's home I always greet the pets and make sure to say hi and give them pets (if they want them). With dogs, my first course of action is typically a potty break, followed by whatever they need for that visit (food, meds, play time, cuddle time) etc. I'm happy to play fetch, tug-of-war, and (if they're up for it) hide a treat and make them go find it. I like going for ~1.5-3 mile jogs here and there so if your dog's into that I'm happy to bring them along.

Experienced Pet Sitter

Pet care experience

I have had a number of families count on me to take care of both their children and pets for over 20 years (including dogs, cats, birds, and fish). Recently, I've taken care of a few family members' senior dogs and cats so I am experienced with administering medications. In my own free time I love going for walks (as well as runs if your dog would like that).

I highly recommend my niece Sarah to be your pet caregiver! She has been my little doxie Lola's vacation sitter for 10 years. As Lola has gotten older (14 now) she now takes medication twice daily and Sarah is very competent & comfortable with giving medications, treatments, and assisting with Lola's mobility issues due to her arthritis. She is very responsible and a great communicator. l never worry about Lola when we're out of town. I know she is in the best hands! And most importantly... Lola loves her!!😊
