Please note that I do NOT board dogs or bring other dogs/cats to my home. My 2 kitties would not be happy with that idea. All care is done in your home. Also, please keep in mind that I keep 80% of the charge of my Rover rate. I am also able to be booked outside of Rover and will provide my phone number and email address after we meet in person. Thank you for reading! :) My weekends are generally pretty free because my M-F clients aren't at work! I am happy to work on Saturdays and Sundays. I only service the Greenwich, CT and downtown Stamford, CT areas. It is simply impossible for me to commute any further because it is too time-consuming. My current availability windows for dog walking are Fridays between 11-2. Despite never having a dog of my own, I have always loved spending time with and being around dogs. For the past six years, I have been regularly taking care of and walking a number of different dogs full-time and have enjoyed every minute of it. I have experience taking care of breeds of all sizes - from yorkies to pugs to labs to collies and everything in-between. I love spending time with dogs, walking them, playing with them, taking them to the dog park - you name it! I am a fan of every dog breed and will treat your dog as if he was my own. I am very attentive to each individual's dog's needs and will adapt to their preferences. I'm a very active person and don't mind walking long distances (my typical day is between 8-10 miles of walking in total. :)) Typical walks last 30 minutes during the week. I can accommodate 60-minute walks on weekends only. A walk/visit will also include feeding (if necessary), water refreshing, and bringing in the mail (if possible). I also do dog sitting - mainly day/evening visits so you can enjoy a day or an evening away from home. I will also do some light cleaning while house-sitting for the dogs as well. I have done overnight sitting in the past but I am generally too busy to accommodate that right now (plus my 2 kitties miss me!). If you happen to be a cat lover, that's awesome, because I am too! I have 2 senior cats who are 14 years old (down from 4 over the last couple of years, RIP to my beautiful babies). I am as much a cat lover as I am a dog lover. I'm happy to come by to take care of your cat and give him some individualized attention because cats need love just as much as dogs do. I typically spend between 45 min-1 hour per visit with any cat(s). Visits include feeding, refreshing water, litter box cleaning, and playtime. I am also knowledgeable about the ideal dog walking position (by your side with non-retractable leash) and can work with your dog on getting him to walk properly without pulling. Oftentimes, I will recommend a gentle leader or harness for pulling and a shorter leash. I have had several clients who have had tremendous success in alleviating pulling which is a relief for you as the owner, me as the walker, and the dog! In addition, I am well-versed in dog & cat nutrition and am happy to help give guidance in that area if need be. I can provide over a dozen references upon request. I can accommodate last minute requests sometimes, but I would strongly prefer at least a 24-hour notice. I would also prefer to meet you and your pet ahead of time so that everyone is more comfortable if it is your first time booking with me. I always provide photo updates and lengthy notes with every visit. In fact, I pride myself on catching your four-legged family member(s) in their best pose.
