Recently retired animal lover
I have always had dogs and cats in the house until last month when my 23 yr old cat died. I don’t want another dog/cat of my own because, having recently retired, I am at that stage of life when I can travel whenever I want to however, I already miss the companionship that an animal brings to a home and feel that giving your dog a home from home experience will serve two purposes; firstly it will give you piece of mind that your dog is being lovingly cared for and secondly it will fulfil a need in me without impacting my wanderlust! The experience I can offer is purely from having my own pets, all of whom were rescued, the first being back in 1994 when I adopted my first dog from Battersea Dogs home. During my career I have held positions of responsibility within the RAF, local Education and most recently the NHS before retirement.

Just collected Stanley after a long weekend with Sarah (and Bob) and to be honest I don’t think he wanted to leave! It’s clear that Stanley was treated as part of the family for the weekend, has been thoroughly spoilt, and had a lovely time. Highly recommended, thank you! 😊
Highly recommend!!!!! Teddy spent two days with Sarah and she was so great with him. Accommodated to his needs, pampered him and treated him as her own. I knew he was in safe hands and I am so grateful to her!! Thank you so much, I’ll definitely use her again
After Sarah agreed to look after Henry. We went to meet her and her husband Bob. Henry took an instant liking to both. We went back for a second meet, Henry ran straight upto them and into the house and made himself at home. I had no doubts what so ever leaving him with Sarah and Bob. Sarah sent photos of Henry, he looked happy and at home. I can't recommend Sarah enough to look after your dog. He will be so well looked after. Will certainly be booking Henry in again. Thank you very much Sarah and Bob for my worry free weekend knowing Henry was with you.
Sarah and her husband are a lovely couple with a lovely house and a lovely garden. The place is a very nippy drive from the centre of Lincoln and you get stunning views of the Cathedral on the way. They clearly adore animals and Sparky had a wonderful time. I wasn't expecting her to be walked because Sparky is very strong willed and rarely allows anyone else but me to walk her. However, Sarah struck up a strong rapport and did take her out. Brilliant care and very happy with all she did for her whilst I was working. An easy 5 star rating.
I have been a friend of Sarah for over 20 years. She is reliable, kind hearted, professional when in a working environment and trustworthy. Having seen her care for many of her own pets over the years, I have seen the love, care and positive relationship she had with them. I think Sarah would be an excellent sitter and would have been very assured and comforted to have left my dog with her.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large walled garden most of which is laid to grass. Unfortunately I have had to remove the gates as they were rotten so there is open access to the garden. In the interests of safety, I would ensure that your dog is kept on the lead whilst outside. I live on a one way, single lane street in a quiet area of the village with immediate access to some great country walks which I am looking forward to exploring more.
A typical day
I love taking dogs out on long walks and seeing their enjoyment in exploring new smells in new territories. If your dog is sociable, I might even stop in my local dog friendly pub on the way home where they will get an inordinate amount of fuss and attention.
