Cozy family stay while you’re away!
My husband, 9yr old daughter and 2 yr old daughter and I live in Bedstuy, Brooklyn. Both of us are off work all weekend. We used to have a small dog: a Miniature Pinscher named Taco who passed away in February. We had 11 amazing years with him. We live a few blocks away from Herbert Von King dog park and enjoy walking around our neighborhood. Just so you know--we have our 2 yr old and 9 year old daughter with us so if your dog is uncomfortable or scared around children and/or strollers we may not be the best choice for your pet. Occasionally we take dogs to off-leash hours at Ft. Greene park. Please let us know if you are comfortable with your dog doing off-leash time.

Sarah and her husband took excellent care of our Frenchie during an extended boarding stay for over two weeks. Our pup was spoiled with long trips to the dog park almost everyday and lots of affection. We wouldn't hesitate to book with them again.
Our dog has enjoyed staying in Sarah's care and spending time with her dogs! She is taken on walks and gets a good amount of cuddle time in.

Sarah and Jack are great, and my little Frankie (a chihuahua jack russell mix) enjoyed her stay and got along well with their dogs! She enjoyed her time at the park and taking naps at their nice apartment. I definitely trust them in taking care of my dog!

Schedule
We are setting our profile back to active during the summer because Jack is a teacher and has off for July and August. We have two girls — one 9 and one 2 — who love to be outside so walks and park time are a must several times a day. When our dog was alive he would join us for family outside activities.

We have a railroad apartment which helps a lot with compartmentalizing. If your dog likes to be around people all the time — great! — if they are a little anxious or like alone time it is easy for us to also put them in an airy safe room where they will be unbothered by children.
A typical day
We take our dogs on walks all around the neighborhood in Bedstuy -- often to Herbert Von King dog park, or out west into Clinton Hill. We also have a car, so we enjoy taking dogs down to Prospect Park and letting them run around. And for fun activities, many of the cafés in our neighborhood are dog-friendly and have outside seating, so we enjoy taking some treats and sitting out in the sun with our pups!
