Pet care experience

🌿 Trail miles •cozy naps •pro care

A calm, loving home where your dog gets to be part of the family 🐾🌿 My days are a mix of kids, dogs, nature, and a little controlled chaos. 😂 I homeschool my kids, work with dogs at Zen Dog Training, and spend as much time outside as I can. Dogs staying with me naturally become part of our everyday routine. Your dog won't be sitting in a kennel all day or treated like just another booking. They’ll hang out with us, get plenty of attention, playtime, enrichment, exercise, and lots of downtime in a calm home environment. I’m a nurse by trade, so I’m naturally pretty attentive to the little things. Safety, routines, medications, behavior changes, and making sure everyone is comfortable are all things I take seriously. I’ve also spent years caring for and working with dogs, including nervous dogs, high energy dogs, seniors, and dogs who just need a little extra patience. What your dog can expect here: 🐾 Lots of companionship and attention 🌿 Walks and outdoor time when appropriate 🧠 Play and mental enrichment 🛋️ Plenty of quiet time to relax 💊 Medication and routine care when needed ❤️ Care based on your dog’s personality and needs I really enjoy getting to know each dog's personality. Some dogs want to be outside sniffing everything and involved in absolutely everything we do. Other dogs would rather find a cozy spot on the couch and spend the day napping. Both are totally welcome here. Working in professional dog training has also taught me a lot about reading body language and understanding when a dog needs space, structure, stimulation, or just some time to settle in. My goal is for your dog to feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away. I want you to be able to enjoy your trip or time away without worrying about how your dog is doing. If you're looking for someone who will treat your dog like an individual and make them part of the family while they're here, I'd love to meet you both and see if we're a good fit! 🐾

Sarah-Beth was absolutely fantastic!! She answered every worried mom message and reassured me that my girl was doing great! She seemed to fit flawlessly. I would 100% rebook with Sarah-Beth again!

Sarah is a top notch sitter. Her and her children showed such love and care for our little guy. He had so much fun with Sarah. I will definitely call upon Sarah again in the future. Thanks Sarah so much!

Sarah and her family are the sweetest! They took care of my little puppy for a week even when she’s still potty training. They took the best care of her. Highly recommend!

Sarah (and her whole family) was absolutely incredible!! My moose was so happy to be there and even sad when he left 😆 She took such great care of him and sent me pictures/videos every day. I knew he was in great hands!

I had a bunch of last-minute changes just over and over, out of my control, and Sarah Beth absolutely just rolled with it. She and her kids treated my Hank like one of the family. She also let me pick him up at 9:30 PM when my flight came in which I was so grateful for. Very positive experience.

Sesame enjoyed his stay with Sarah-Beth, and she was responsive in messaging and flexible with timing for the stay.

Schedule

I’m a remote worker with a pretty flexible schedule, so I’m home most of the day. I’m able to give dogs frequent potty breaks, attention, playtime, and plenty of time to settle in and relax. I also keep my calendar updated so my availability is accurate.

Safety, trust & environment

I’m home most of the day, so your dog gets lots of companionship and attention instead of being left alone for long stretches. My kids love dogs, but interactions are always supervised and I’m mindful of each dog’s personality and boundaries. I keep things calm and structured, with frequent potty breaks, play, enrichment, and exercise based on what your dog is comfortable with. I also work professionally with dogs, so I’m comfortable reading body language and handling different temperaments.

Pets

A typical day

I like to keep dogs busy without overwhelming them. Depending on the dog, that might mean walks, playing in the yard, sniffing and exploring, training games, enrichment activities, or just hanging out with us while we go about our day. I’m big on letting dogs be dogs, so there’s plenty of time to sniff, play, explore, and then crash for a good nap. 😂

I have kids at home who love dogs, so it’s important that I know how your dog does around children and other dogs. Please let me know about any fears, triggers, reactivity, escape habits, resource guarding, or other behaviors I should be aware of. I’d also like to know about their normal routine, medications, feeding schedule, and anything that helps them feel comfortable in a new environment. Honestly, I’d much rather know too much than not enough. No judgment here! The more I know ahead of time, the better I can set your dog up for a safe, comfortable stay. 🐾
