Sarah was great! she sent lots of pictures and communicated very well. would definitely have her back:)

We booked Sarah for three 30-minute drop-in visits with our 10-week-old mini bernedoodle puppy. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing enough that we canceled the third visit. On the first day, Sarah arrived over an hour late due to personal circumstances, which we tried to be understanding about. However, she then spent only 11 minutes with our puppy while marking the visit in Rover as a full 30-minute drop-in. Our front door camera confirmed the actual time spent, and she appeared to be on her phone for most of the visit. We had provided detailed care instructions and expected them to be reviewed beforehand. We also believe she may have attempted to lock our keyless entry door but left it unlocked. When we personally reached out and asked about any accidents, her response was simply that the information would be in the Rover notes. After the first visit, we expressed our concerns and gave Sarah an opportunity to address them. She did make adjustments to the issues we specifically raised and did not charge us for that day, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the second visit raised additional concerns and made it seem as though our instructions had still not been thoroughly reviewed. She untied a leash setup that prevented our puppy from accessing garden areas, and when she reattached it, he was able to reach the flower gardens, chew plants, and drink stagnant water. She brought indoor toys outside, took him beyond the backyard despite our instructions to keep him there, and walked him around the house in a way we specifically wanted to avoid because we are teaching him boundaries and road safety. She also used our backyard hose without communicating why. We understand that puppies require extra work and attention, which is why we provided detailed instructions and made ourselves available for questions. As a fellow Rover sitter, I cannot imagine providing this level of care or communication to another pet parent. Perhaps puppies are simply outside Sarah’s scope of experience. I am giving two stars because she did make an effort to correct the issues we discussed after the first visit. However, we would not book with her again or recommend her. We are grateful we had cameras to accurately understand what was happening while we were away.
