Safety, trust & environment
I am used to a wide array in animal temperaments, from severely traumatized to extremely friendly and trusting. Regardless of how your animal is, I would love to meet YOU as well as your pet the first time that I come over! I'm happy to do this as a complimentary visit. This way, your pet has a chance to meet me in a safe environment (with you), and you have a chance to tell me about any behavioral notes. If you have training you're working on, I'm happy to work on this with your pup while we're out!
Information Sarah B. would like to know about your pet
What is your pets temperament like? Do they have any allergies? What’s their favorite type of play? For walks in particular, is there anything we should avoid (other dogs who are scary to him on certain streets, anything he might be reactive to)?
A typical day
A typical day varies from pet to pet, depending on your little one’s preferences and needs. For home visits, I’ve sat quietly with shy cats and played hard with the energetic ones. For dogs, I’ve power walked, jogged, and played with pups and gone nice and slow for older dogs. Let me know what you need, and I’ll be sure to accommodate it. I’ll also let you know if anything ever seems off while I’m watching them.

The Veterinarian's Daughter
Pet care experience
I would love to help your pup get some exercise! As the title states, I grew up as a small animal veterinarian's daughter. Our home hosted a rotating cast of foster animals, as well as our own dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, horses, and even goats! We had Great Danes, two Boxers, a Yorkie, a Doberman, and wonderful mutts of various sizes and temperaments. In high school, I worked at my mother's weekend veterinary vaccination clinic checking in owners and holding cats and dogs for vaccinations. In college, I volunteered at Homeward Bound, a no-kill animal shelter a short drive from my campus. I am the proud owner of a 10 year old rescue cat who I've had for nine years. She is both asthmatic and diabetic, and I administer her medications daily. While I don't currently have a dog of my own, I am the "godmother" of a good friend's Golden Doodle and my sister's Corgi! I have the honor of petsitting them periodically. I would love to take your dog for a walk or check in on your cat for you! I know how pets are members of the family, and look forward to treating them with the care and love they deserve.
