I left my extremely demanding job in December after my cat got sick. I wanted to spend as much time with him as possible. Since his passing, I have focused on taking care of pets and cleaning homes. This has brought me more joy than any demanding corporate job, and I hope I can continue to work in this capacity for many years in the future. My schedule is very flexible!

I am an animal lover living in an animal free home at this moment. Because of this, I am open to boarding. I am not concerned with animals who want to sit on the couch with me or lay on the bed, but I will follow the rules of what they’re allowed to do at home if you prefer that. My home will be their home, and I will do everything to make sure that they feel safe and cared for while in my hands. I’m an active person and love taking long walks and hikes. So, if that’s something that your dog is into, I am happy to schedule an adventure that meets their mileage needs! On the contrary, if you have a small dog or one who just wants to go out for a stroll around the block or to do their business in the grass, I’m happy to do that too! I have a small unfenced side yard to accommodate. I live on the second floor of an apartment building with no elevator, so if your pup is not able to do stairs and is too heavy to pick up, my home wouldn’t be a good fit.

Our pets are much like us, they don't necessarily want to be sniffed up and down by everyone they pass. Please let me know if your dog has any leash aggression or is temperamental with specific sounds (sirens) or objects (skateboards/bikes).
A typical day
I have a flexible schedule and am happy to accommodate your pets needs. I like neighborhood strolls (walkabouts), strenuous hikes and walks on the sand along the beach. Whatever makes your pet happy and stimulated is what I will plan for us. I typically avoid dog parks unless your dog is part of an established community of other dogs to avoid any potential danger, and I never allow a dog off leash no matter how good recall they have. I prioritize fun AND safety for the animals I care for.

I absolutely love all animals! Growing up, my family always had a minimum of two dogs at a time. Since I was young, I have been trusted by friends and family members to watch over not only their pets, but their plants as well. As an adult living alone, I have only ever had 1 cat at a time in my home, however, my plant game has grown to a bit of a jungle! On top of taking care of animals, I also LOVE a clean house and I take it upon myself to always leave people’s homes cleaner than I found them in! I’m currently looking to open my own business doing just that: Pet sitting and deep cleaning while folks are out of town. In my opinion, there is nothing better than coming home from a vacation or a work trip to a clean home and a happy animal! I have been working with Meowtel watching cats for the last year and have found it to be exceptionally rewarding. Recently, my sweet cat passed away and I left my demanding job. Due to these circumstances I have decided that since I have the time and opportunity, opening my home to board would be a great way to expand my offerings. I look forward to meeting this community and giving dog (cat, plant, etc.) owners peace of mind while they travel, get stuck working a double, or just want to support their companion with an extra afternoon walk.

Sarah was wonderful with Bijou! He is a well-behaved dog but has a ton of energy, and it was clear that Sarah understood his personality perfectly. You could easily tell from the pictures she shared that he was having a blast. She took him on a couple of walks, and he came home completely happy and tired out from all the fun. I highly recommend Sarah for doggy day care and will definitely use her services again!
Sarah was amazing! Very kind and communicative. My 10 year old Australian Shepherd was comfortable and at ease with her and in her home. Very glad to have booked with her!
Sarah was kind, generous and flexible with the drop off, pick up. Our dog Peanut had a safe and pleasant time with her.
Went above and beyond taking care of my two cats! I felt so comfortable (and happy!) with the care she gave them between lots of extra love, fixing the litter robot (thanks again! lol), and great reports that let me know everything going on with them. Will definitely have her help watch them again for me!
