I am a teacher, so this summer I am off. I have summer break from June 5th to August 28th. I like to take out dogs about 4 times a day. I feed them twice, once in the morning and once in the evening. My husband is also home and helps me from time to time. I check in regularly with my clients and send them pictures.

Safety, trust & environment
I treat every animal as if it were my own - with love, care, and gentleness. If I see that they need attended to, I will make it a priority to give them what they need. There have been many times I have doctored my pets when we have been on the farm and away from a vet. If they are in pain, I see what the problem is and want to help as much as I can. I also like to make sure they are getting all of their needs met - that includes clipping their toenails, brushing them, and making sure they are comfortable at night. With cats, I like to play with them for at least a few hours a day. I use toys like little mice and tunnels. I also make sure they get their nap time in a nice, quiet area of the house.

Information Sarah B. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog is potty trained and if there are any special instructions. Also, I only watch dogs and cats if they are vaccinated. Exotic animals don't have to be. Tell me if your dog exhibits any aggressive behavior ahead of time, and if they have ever bitten a human or animal.
A typical day
I usually wake up around 6 am and take the dogs out in the morning. On the weekends I get up around 8 am. We usually go around the block or to the park. Then he or she would get breakfast. Midday he would get another walk, when I come home from work. I get off at 2:45 pm usually. I would take him on his last walk after dinner. I would also play games with the dog to increase their mental abilities, like fetch. At the end of the day, I would give the dog lots of belly rubs and brush him or her out.

Pet care experience
My family did not only take care of dogs - we bred dogs for many years. When I was 8 years old we started to breed dogs as a side business. Our first litter had 6 beautiful pups, 3 black labs and 3 yellow labs. Ever since I was born, we have had pets in our house - dogs, cats, gerbils, guinea pigs, even cockroaches and fish. When I moved to the country we even had goats and chickens. During Covid we had a pet turkey I adored. He would run around with me and follow me wherever I went. No matter what type of pet - I am able and experienced to take care of it.

Reviews

Sarah was so amazing and helpful!! She sent frequent pictures of Luna and helped her (and me!) feel comfortable with our first time being apart from one another. Sarah, you rock!
Charlie had a great time with Sarah. She walked him regularly and I got updates and pictures which I loved.

Great communication and coordination from Sarah. We really appreciate her patience with our sometimes rowdy and excitable labrador puppy. Would book again.

Sarah is great with our dog. She's prompt with responses, great with sending daily updates, and is flexible with drop off/pickup. She's a delight to work with and I appreciate to have someone I can trust look after my dog while we're out of town.
