Pawsitively Reliable Caretaker
Hi! I’ve been caring for animals my whole life—starting on my family’s farm in southwest Minnesota with dogs, horses, sheep, and plenty of barn cats. I’ve worked in animal shelters and vet clinics, caring for all kinds of pets—from dogs and cats to reptiles and birds. I’m Low Stress Handling certified and have hands-on experience with walking, grooming, giving medications, and more. At home, I have two sweet senior Springer Spaniels and help care for family pets and farm animals. I love being outside—whether it’s hiking, walking dogs, or just soaking up the fresh air. Most of all, I love making sure animals feel safe, happy, and loved—just like family.

Sarah walked my two dogs weekly for 6 months and did a great job. She showed up when it was cold and took great care of the dogs. Her communication was great too, letting me know if she couldn’t make it, which was rare. Sarah is very trustworthy and great with the dogs.
Sarah has been a caring and reliable pet sitter. We have had Sarah watch our dog, cat, horses and goat for several days at a time. She is knowledgeable about pet behavior and health and is a good communicator. I highly recommend Sarah for your pet care needs!
Sarah Brakke is a very conscientious animal caretaker and has had experience with several different species of animals. On many occasions she has taken care of our dogs, horses and sheep for several days, doing an excellent job. She has many years of experience and has shown dogs, horses, sheep and rabbits, garnering many trophies and ribbons along the way. Working at a vet clinic for many years she polished skills such as working with people and animals as well as caring for them and recognizing when they were developing or having health issues. Sarah's own dogs are well cared for physically and mentally, I'm confident she would care for someone else's pets with the same level of competency as she has our animals and her own.

I am a free-lance graphic designer and baker, otherwise I have been a stay-at-home mom. Both kids are now in school full time, and I have started a part time job at Dakota Pet Hospital as a Client Care Representative. I cannot walk my own dogs, due to their mobility restrictions and age, so why not walk yours!

I would be caring for your pet in your home and around your neighborhood through walks, drop in visits and play times. I want to get to know you and your pet so that we know that we will work well together. I want you to feel safe having me caring for your furry family member and best friend, and I want to feel safe and comfortable with your pet(s). I want to see how you interact with your pet so that I can give them the type of care they are used to receiving!
Pets
A typical day
When I care for your pets, I will play with their favorite toys with them, talk to them, snuggle with them and just generally love them up. Some of my favorite things to do with my own dogs is to play fetch, hide and seek, tug, and bubbles! If you'd like me to walk your dog near your home or in a local park, or just play with them outside in the yard, I'm more than happy to do that as well.
