Here for adventures and snuggles

I love dogs, cats and the outdoors! I'm a full-time ski instructor here in Jackson, WY who is too transient to have a dog of her own. I have years of experience caring for dogs of all types, ranging from actual sled dogs, to young puppies, to elderly dogs in need of extra help getting around, to a bichon frise with loads of attitude. Rover gets me my fix of kisses, wiggles, attitude, obedience training, and sleepy snuggles - it's a win for everyone! I love bringing pups on hikes and errands around town, using mealtimes as training opportunities, and settling in for Netflix and cuddles at night. I've also learned the language of cats - the slow blink, the curious tail swish. I'll love your kitty whether they need some distance or a lap to sit on. I look forward to meeting your furry fam!

Safety, trust & environment

In addition to romping around outdoors, I enjoy working with dogs on behavior and obedience. I've trained dogs on reactivity, heeling on walks, "touch," "find it," "leave it," "sit" and "down." Mealtimes are a particularly great opportunity to practice these commands. Overall, I will treat your dog like I would my own - good boundaries, and lots of fun and love.

Sarah is so good to our dogs! We felt very comfortable during our vacation knowing Sarah was taking care of our home and loving our dogs. Having an older dog with health issues made it difficult for us to leave. Sarah made sure she was happy. Our younger dog fell in love with Sarah right away. I highly recommend Sarah as a dog and house sitter!

Sarah is a repeat dog sitter for us. She is so great with our two dogs who have very different personalities. She’s very responsive when I reach out and gives us updates daily with pictures. Sarah always makes sure the dogs are well taken care of and keeps the house clean and tidy for when we come home. We are so grateful for Sarah!

Sarah was a wonderful dog sitter to our two dogs! She took notes when she came and met the dogs for our initial meet and greet which I was so impressed by as no other sitter took the time to take notes. She gave me updates at least twice a day while we were gone and I really trusted the dogs were in good hands! The house was clean when I came home. We will definitely use Sarah again.

Sarah was wonderful! We were nervous to leave our puppy for the first time but Sarah was incredibly communicative, and responsible. Our pup had a blast. She went above and beyond by kindly introducing him to new things and practicing commands. We came home to a better-behaved puppy (now we just have to keep it up!).

Schedule

This summer I'm working full-time at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Thursday through Sunday from 8:45am - 6pm (plus commute). On those days, I make it a priority to give dogs a full half hour of walking / sniffing / fetch playing immediately before I leave for and return from work, however I cannot commit to mid-day walks. I know that some pups need more than that and I keep my rates on the lower end for this reason.

I'll need to know about your dog's dietary requirements, what words you use for commands, and any behavioral issues (EX: reactivity toward people or dogs, an inclination to run out the door, countersurfing or chewing tendencies) ahead of time. It's also super helpful to get an overview of where dog supplies are in the house and to have a conversation around how often you would like pupdates from me. For overnight stays, I'll ask about routines I should follow (breakfast/dinnertime, walk times/lengths, bedtime, etc.), including the maximum time your dog is able to be left alone for. I will also want to have your veterinarian's contact information and contact information for trusted neighbors/friends should any emergencies occur.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
