I do work M-F, so am unable to currently board dogs that are not fully house trained, unless they use diapers or potty pads. I am generally home by 2:30 and depending on the week, can be flexible with my work hours.

Boarding: I can only take 1 client at a time, but can accept multiple dogs from the same client. I do have 2 cats of my own, but am able to separate my cats so there is no contact with boarders. I am also able to board cats, small mammals, birds, reptiles, invertebrates etc. I have a large room in my house devoted to animal boarding. I currently have a small, medium, and extra large kennel if needed, puppy pads, blankets, small pet beds, large hammock sling, and a few different bowls that are all sanitized between clients. Due to having cats, boarders will be in the boarding room while I am out of the house. When I am home, I can let the boarding pet out and pop my cats in their bedrooms. I have a nice backyard where they can chill, play ball, sniff around, do whatever! I am able to provide a safe, comfortable, and calm boarding environment. I will always double check that boarders will be a good match :) Drop in visits: I usually start work at 6am, so I would aim to do a morning visit around 5:30am. Evening visits can be after work and/or late evening. I would love to do a meet and greet beforehand so you can run me through your pets care, but can also go without if you need emergency care and there is access to a key and I have the basics of your pets care. If looking after a dog that is not always a fan of strangers, I would prefer to be able to do the meet and greet so your dog can meet me with you present and know I am not a threat. Walks: I can do early morning or varying times in the afternoon. Sadly, my lunch break is not long enough to leave work for a dog walk.

A typical day
Your dogs will get as much play or chill time outside as they want. I have some different outside toys for them to chase and catch. We will also go on neighborhood walks or runs so they can check out some new sights and smells. I will feed them as close as possible to their usual meal times. I have a few different slow feeders and puzzle feeders to get them working for their food, as well. They will get lots of love and attention while they are with me! Have any problem behaviors you’d like advice on? Free consult for boarders or drop ins, prices vary from there. Want a fresh and clean dog when you get home? I can bathe, blow dry, ear/eye clean, trim, brush out, and nail trim. Prices vary depending on what you want, as well as size and type of coat.

Former zookeeper-forever pet lover!
Pet care experience
Hello pet lovers! I am a former zookeeper, and current lab tech. I am a fellow dog lover and current cat mom looking to get a little extra cash for international travel! Ooh La la! England and Mongolia- here I come. I previously worked and trained with zoo exotics (including one of my favorites, wolves ❤) for over 8 years. I have worked/trained with domestics for over 20 in home, shelter and vet clinic settings! I have seen almost everything. I would love to take you pup on a walk and can customize for high energy or just a fun galavant! I am comfortable around all sizes of dogs. I have experience walking dogs that show aggression towards other dogs. I’m also available for cat, pocket pet, bird and reptile care. Let me know what you want :) I will even water your plants if needed. My first language is English, but I am able to understand a fair amount of Spanish and am learning ASL currently, I may just need things repeated a few times! I am also able to provide some basic training. No consultation fee for pets that have boarded with me. Training plans and prices will vary depending on the pet and the behavior needing work. Training visits will be done at the pets home, as they tend to act differently out of their home environment. I can assist with good manners on walks, barking at the door/doorbell, jumping on people- especially entering and exiting the house, minor separation anxiety, reducing begging when humans are eating, and door bolting. For liability, I cannot offer services for aggression or reactivity. I can offer some pointers and evaluate things that may trigger them. I can recommend trainers who train full time and have expert knowledge in those areas.

Reviews
Sarah did a great job with our pups and kept them entertained and very happy! They had a ton of fun playing and were so tired when we picked them up but very happy to see us and us them. Would absolutely recommend!

This was the first time that I left my dog with Sarah and she took excellent care of her. I highly recommend Sarah.

Our Oscar thrived while we were away and Sarah took care of him. Sarah introduced Oscar to some new playtime routines and Oscar told me Sarah was fun to play with. Thanks again for taking care of our baby.

Sarah sent pictures of the girls often..she has a big back yard and my girls loved that the were off leash..I would recommend her to my friends...my dogs were in good company
