If your dog is reactive to common city distractions, (dogs, cats, squirrels, bikes/scooters, sirens, people etc), let me know so I can be prepared! It's also good to know if they have incontinence issues.
A typical day
I'm a distance runner, so I'm happy to take your pup for a run until they're completely tired out (and they will be)! I'm also always down for a good game of tug-of-war or some trick training for mental stimilation. There's also a dog park near my place, if your pet is comfortable and relaxed around other dogs - although that's something I'd prefer to only do with dogs I have a relationship with.

I grew up with dogs - three of them! - and spent time training or caring for dogs, cats, horses, goats, and chickens for much of my adolescence and early adulthood. I'd love to get to know your animal and what your behavior goals are for them so that I can support your training when I walk or care for them! I run long-distance, so I'm also happy to just wear out your pup so they're happy and tired when you come home. I'm happy to do basic grooming as part of a regular visit, but prefer not to do nails or baths unless it's a 60 minute visit in your home - that reduces stress for me and the animal. I'm comfortable administering oral medication, or injected medication with clear instructions for use.
