I’m a mom of five (ages 10–26), a nurse, and a lifelong animal lover. The animal-loving trait runs pretty strong in our family! Somewhere along the way, we became THAT family… the one everyone thinks of when an animal needs a loving home. We currently have dogs, guinea pigs, a tortoise, a bearded dragon, snakes, and fish, most of whom have found their way to us. And if the city would allow it, we’d have chickens too. Our whole family is passionate about learning how to give all kinds of animals the best life possible. If I don’t know something, chances are one of my consultants does. I’m happy to care for dogs, cats, small animals, reptiles, or pretty much anything else you call family. If your pet is one I haven’t cared for before, even better. Tell me all about them! Our pets are family. They’re ridiculously loved, definitely spoiled, and yours will be too.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and comfort will always come first. I’ll respect their personality, boundaries, preferences, and all the little things you know help them feel comfortable, along with your home and the way you want them cared for. I’m also comfortable caring for senior and special-needs pets, giving medications, and following more detailed care plans, where my nursing skills definitely come in handy. You’ll get daily updates with pictures and videos, so you can relax knowing your pet and home are in good hands while you’re away.

I have had Sarah and family dog sit for me a few times over the years. She does a fantastic job and loves all animals like kids. She's absolutely a sweet heart that will care very well for any animals that enter her home.
I have known Sarah for many years, and she has always been a responsible animal owner. She has experience with many different breeds and temperaments of dogs, as well as other exotic animals. She is caring, patient and attentive to each pet's unique needs.
Sarah was an outstanding pet sitter. She clearly adored Charlie and took such thoughtful care of him. She checked in regularly, sent great photos, and asked all the right questions to make sure he was comfortable and happy. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in her hands. Highly recommend!

Schedule
I work full-time remotely, which gives me flexibility for pet care. If you live near the Minnesota Zoo and are close enough for me to periodically check in on my own family and little zoo, I’m happy to work from your home during the week, as long as your pet is comfortable hanging out with me while I work. Their normal routine can stay as familiar as possible, with walks, meals, medications, potty breaks, playtime, snuggles, and attention worked into the day.

- The more you can tell me about your pet, the better I can get to know them and care for them the way they’re used to. I’d love to know about their personality, favorite things, fears, triggers, boundaries, medical needs, and any behaviors you think are important. I have an especially soft spot for shy, anxious, reactive, and misunderstood animals, so please don’t be afraid to share the hard stuff too. The more I know about what makes your pet feel safe and comfortable, the better I can care for them.
