My experience with Sarah, unfortunately, was rather unpleasant. Another Rover recommended her highly and our initial interaction was good. We agreed details a week in advance. The night before I texted her to reconfirm the drop off midday. She responded the next day, asking if it could happen later. I said I was leaving town at noon, but my housekeeper would be on hand and she could grab the dog later. As I was 30 minutes into my jitney ride out of the city, she cancels. When I text her, she explains that her flight was canceled. No apology, no acknowledgement that she didn't let me know there was a risk of her being waylaid and no effort to help me scramble to find an alternative. She might be a terrific sitter, but I feel she handled the situation very poorly and cannot recommend her, based on my limited interaction.
I am beyond grateful for Sarah's help! When I realized that my day would be beyond crazy busy and would need someone to drop in and give my kitty a bit of love, she accommodated me sans hesitation. She asked thoughtful and appropraite questions, and that is what helped me know that she experienced and detail-oriented. She followed the instructions and took loads of picrture and videos of Chloe. AND, my place did look a bit tidier as well. In addition, she was very pleasant to talk to and very communicative. I am so relieved to have a growing list of trusty siitters to occupy Chloe.
