Grew up and have lived with several dogs, and taken care of many more. Volunteered with Austin Pets Alive!, who provided training for handling a range of behaviors using positive reinforcement. Skilled at handling all types, from puppies to seniors and those who are shy or jumpy. Extensive experience with older pups who may have have impaired vision, hearing, or special needs. For overnights: I live with a sweet 9lb toy poodle who who would love another low-key (or high-key but respectful) playmate. He’s also happy to give space.

I’d like your dog’s experience to be as stress-free and fun as possible so whatever they need to feel at home is great! Happy to have them sleep in their own bed, a crate, or next to me if that’s their preference. I have some toys and treats but feel free to bring your own as well! I’m careful to follow any parent instructions and to ensure doggos feel safe before approaching them. Tend to take cues from the dog and move at their speed. Happy to play, go for a run, or help reinforce any training while we’re together.

A typical day
I love checking out new parks and trails, going for jogs if the dog is up for it, and playing games or reinforcing any training they’re learning. The Cherrywood neighborhood is a great area to walk around, very residential and quiet.

I have a flexible work-from-home schedule now so am happy to follow any special routines, otherwise we’ll do several 20-40m walks or jogs each day around Cherrywood in the morning & evening.
