Dog at Heart & Vet Student

DOG LOVER & ANIMAL EMPATH. I have 7 rescues. We run in a pack here on 30 acres. I have my Bachelors of Science in Animal Science (pre-vet) and have 7 years experience working at a rescue and rehabilitation center. I’ve been training dogs since I was 10 years old! Really I’m just a dog at heart. I also have been a Vet Tech. I also groom and bath dogs. I sit for cats and take care of horses and other livestock as well. I’m very flexible with caring for different types of animal species even caring for some exotics. (Minus snakes) My availability is flexible and I also will work with you if you have more than one animal. If your going on vacation feel good in knowing your animals will feel right at home. I’m that kind of person that talks to my dogs, lays on the floor with them and let’s them on my couches with me. ⏰ Current Scheduling & Farm Rules: • Custom Hours: I do not do the Rover 24 hour block. My night hours for overnight stays are 9pm–7am and my day hours for walks/drop-ins are 10am–4pm. • Maximum Stay: Due to my daily farm chore routine, I am only accepting short-term overnight stays of 2 to 3 nights maximum. • Sundays Off: I am completely unavailable on Sundays. Weekend bookings must wrap up by Saturday evening or early Sunday morning check-out. 🧼 In-Home Spa & Add-On Services: • Dog Walking Booking Policy: Please note: To protect my schedule and enforce my standard cancellation policy, all dog walking requests must be booked under the "Drop-In Visits" service option. I do not accept bookings through the standard "Dog Walking" tab, and I do not offer 60-minute walks. • Multi-Dog Walking Safety Rule: For the safety and control of your pets, I operate under strict veterinary safety guidelines and do not walk multiple dogs simultaneously on a leash. For multi-dog households, a 30-minute drop-in visit will be strictly divided into private, focused 15-minute walks for each individual dog, one at a time. • Standard In-Home Bath (Towel-Dry Only): • Small Dogs (Under 20 lbs): $40 • Medium Dogs (20–40 lbs): $55 • Large Dogs (40–70 lbs): $70 • Giant Breeds / Heavy Double-Coats (70+ lbs): $85+ • Goat Milk Soap Skin Treatment Upgrade (+$20): A luxury, deeply moisturizing bath using my own handmade, farm-fresh goat milk soap. Exceptional for dogs with dry skin, allergies, or itching! (Includes keeping the remainder of the custom soap bar!) • Specialized Treatment Baths (+$15 to +$20): Tailored washes using high-quality natural formulations or clinical treatments depending on your pet's needs (ex: flea & tick, calming oatmeal/lavender, or deshedding formulas). • Coat Brushing & Deshedding: $20 for a standard maintenance brush. Heavy deshedding/undercoat removal for double-coated breeds is $35 to $45. (Please note: Brushing is a separate service and is an extra fee on top of a basic bath!) • Standalone Nail Trim: $20 (For gentle, cooperative dogs only). • Spot Shaving & Mat Extraction: Starts at +$15 for small knots, scaling up to +$45+ for thick, severe clumps depending on time and labor. (I do not offer fancy styling clips or full haircuts). ⚠️ Strict Safety & Aggression Policy: Because I work independently without clinical restraint gear or veterinary sedatives, I do not accept dogs with a history of severe aggression or biting for nail trims, grooming, or mat removal. The absolute safety and physical comfort of your dog (and myself!) is my top priority. If a pet displays dangerous distress or aggression, the service will be stopped, and I will refer you to a full vet clinic for a sedated grooming appointment.

Dog at heart. I treat my clients pets the same as my own. However, I do respect the owners request. I allow my dogs on my couches but if you don’t that’s what goes.

Sarabeth was very knowledgeable and did a great job with Jasmine and Jasper and left the house just as it was when we left. She even came earlier than planned at the last moment. Would definitely recommend her to anyone and hope to use her again in the future.

Sarabeth is a great communicator, punctual, and kind! She watched my dogs at my campsite so I could visit Nashville, a most unusual request, but Sarabeth was flexible and able to help. She realized that we are working on getting Orzo to stop jumping on people when he meets them, so she was firm with him, but loving. My dogs were sad to see Sarabeth leave after the day came to an end. I highly recommend Sarabeth for your pet sitting needs!

We found ourselves in need of house sitting for our 3 young dogs at the last minute and reached out to Sarabeth. She responded very quickly and set up meet and greet the same day. She kept in touch with us daily on how our pups were doing with photos and updates. We left very specific care instructions which she followed to a “T”. When we arrived home our dogs were calm, well behaved and happy! This is our first time using in house pet sitting and Sarabeth made it a stress free and great experience for all of us. We will definitely use her services again and highly recommended her.

Sarabeth was wonderful with our pets when we were out of town. She loves all animals and is studying to be a vet. She sent pictures of our puppy and our cat while we were away which made us feel better about the time she was spending with them. I would highly recommend Sarabeth to stay with your babies when you need to travel.

Schedule

I manage my own farm which includes registered dairy goats but I am flexible. I do not participate in the rover 24 hr block. If you have cameras in your home you must notify me before I decide to book with you and I reserve the right to not book if you do. ⏳ Note: Because of my daily livestock routine, I maintain a strict cap of 2 to 3 nights maximum per house-sitting booking.

Sarabeth can host up to 3 drop-ins per day
Is your dog passive aggressive? How your dog is with multiple dogs? How your dog is off leash? Is your dog up to date on shots? Does your dog get a regular heart worm, flea and tick treatment? Does your dog have any skin issues or dermatitis? Is your dog on medications? ⏳ Scheduling & Safety Questions: • How does your dog handle being left alone for flexible 2 to 4-hour blocks during the day while I tend to my farm chores? • Is your pet comfortable with basic paw/body handling, and do they have any past history of fear, severe stress, or snapping during baths, nail trims, or grooming? • Are there cameras located inside or outside the home? (Per my policy, please notify me upfront prior to booking).
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
