I have been working with dogs and cats professionally since May of 2012 with my primary focus on dog walking. From puppies to seniors, I have walked and pet sat all temperaments and ages of dogs. Additionally, I have a year and a half of basic dog training experience, which also included working with reactive and anxious dogs. Being fluent in dog body language is essential! Subcutaneous injections are also a part of my skill set, as I used to have a diabetic cat that needed insulin injections twice daily as well as a client that needed Adequan injections twice a week.

Sara did a wonderful job with drop-in visits for our two cats! Followed all instructions, sent detailed updates and lots of photos, and was vey patient with our shyer cat. Would highly recommend and book again.

Sara has been, and continues to be, a wonderful sitter and friend to our puppy, Minnie. She took the time to get to know Minnie, understand her routine, and build a connection with her. Sara’s communication is excellent, and my husband and I have complete peace of mind during our workday knowing that Minnie is in such caring and capable hands. We truly appreciate the love and attention she gives our pup. We cannot recommend Sara highly enough!
Sara took her time to learn and write down everything that was important to myself and Hank. She did a great job with him. Her enthusiasm to spend some time with Hank is very reassuring. Being a deaf puppy, he can be a challenge but she wasn't worried about it. She looked forward to working with him and learning how to communicate with him.

I have been walking dogs and doing drop ins for cats and dogs professionally for over 13 years. I am now available full time for care in the Standish and Gorham areas. I LOVE my job! Taking care of dogs and cats was my heart’s calling and I’ve never looked back. Getting to know your furry critters and building a trusting, mutually beneficial relationship with them is my favorite thing in the world. Every dog and cat has a unique personality and I enjoy learning what works (and what doesn’t work!) for them and lovingly cater to their specific needs, likes, and dislikes. When caring for dogs in my home, they have constant supervision and are free to roam the living space. This is ideal for dogs with separation anxiety! I will do all walks, outdoor playtimes, and potty breaks on leash, as often as they need. If the dog likes, they will sleep in bed with me and my pug mix!

A typical day
Walks around the property or down the street if approved by parent, enrichment activities like puzzle toys or snuffle mats, and fetch or playtime with toys (if they enjoy that).
