I offer in client-home care, whether it's short walks, long walks, or longer in-home stays. I can come to you and care for your pets in the comfort of your home.
Information Sara S. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pets have any; food allergies, physical limitations (ex: can't walk more than a mile), resource guarding tendencies if more than one pet in the house, reactivity in public, medication regimens, or house rules you'd want me to abide by! My dogs sleep in the bed, but I know not everyone prefers that :)
A typical day
Having a high-energy, highly anxious pup myself, I specialize in physical and mental stimulation! Whether it is going on a long trail run or playing treasure hunt with treats, I specialize in tiring out both physical and mental senses. I've taken my anxious pittie sailing on a boat, and even paddle boarding. As I become more familiar with the dog-friendly spots in San Diego, I offer to take your pup to join me on some excellent adventures.

Pet care experience
Hello! I just moved across the country to San Diego with my husband, 2 cats, and 2 large dogs in an RV. Now that we're settled in, I'm looking to use my flexible schedule to provide my pet sitting services. I grew up with large dogs and have experience working with a wide variety of behavioral and medical difficulties. I have a rescue pittie named Moose who suffers with anxiety, a three-legged cat named Queenie we rescued off the street after a bad accident, a rescue grumpy orange cat named Interstella, and a golden retriever named Tylee. My husband and I spend a lot of time working with Moose on his reactivity towards other dogs, and have learned a lot from professional trainers. I have also learned a lot from volunteering at a local shelter for over 2 years, where I obtained level 3 difficult dog training. Having grown up with senior dogs, I have experience with senior care and dogs with dementia, hip dysplasia, deaf and blindness (I know sign language!), and comfortability with administration of medication. I look forward to using my passion for animals to provide expert care for your precious family members!

Reviews

Sara is so great with Lily! Her communication is amazing and she is very flexible. My dog is well exercised and happy when I get home from work! I highly recommend her!
Sara is amazing with pets! She's loving, patient and knowledgeable about different breeds and their needs. She has watched my shepherd mix before and has made sure she got all the exercise and attention she needed. Sara is friendly and attentive to what you will need and what your dog will need out of a dog caregiver.
I didn’t think such caring, energetic, patient, and responsible dog sitters existed...then Sara came along. She’s great with dogs of all sizes and whether she’s just taking them for a walk or boarding them, she’s fantastic. Can’t recommend her enough!
Sara is an amazing caring person. She is very dependable, and is constantly taking my dog, Beau, for walks when I can’t be home. I trust her completely and I would recommend her to anyone to take care of their animals!
