A loving home away from home
As a lifelong animal lover and experienced pet owner, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. I have a male Chihuahua-Terrier mix who stays with me part-time and gets along well with other dogs. I am the go-to pet sitter for friends and family, because my goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, indoor or outdoor play sessions, or relaxing with lots of cuddles, I’ll tailor their care to their unique personality and routine. I also have experience taking care of senior dogs and am comfortable administering medication, preparing special diets, and providing extra care and attention. I love having dogs around and would be delighted to welcome your pet into my home. For everyone’s comfort and safety, I ask that dogs be friendly around children, adults, and other dogs. Meet and greets—virtual or in person—are required before booking so we can make sure it’s a great fit for everyone. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member!

I have known Sara for nearly 20 years. She was my assistant manager at Ann Taylor and we remained friends after that. She was an excellent employee, reliable and amazing with clients and coworkers. Sara has also taken care of our French Bulldog Lily many times. She would send me picture of her everyday to show us how happy she was. Lily loved Sara and her children. There were times she almost didn’t want to come home. Sara took care of her as if she were her own. I highly recommend Sara for caring for your pet.

Schedule
I work a flexible hybrid schedule, with three days per week at home and my office is close enough to come home midday on office days for walks and all your pet’s needs.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a spacious townhome and do not have a fenced yard, but if your dog enjoys leashed walks and outdoor playtime, I have easy access to open outdoor spaces, parks, and nature trails. In my home, dogs are a part of the family and welcome to make themselves comfortable just as they would in your home. They are welcome to relax on the couch, snooze on the bed, or use their own bed or crate if that’s most comfortable. I want your dog (and you) to feel relaxed and safe until your return.

A typical day
My day typically starts with a walk around the neighborhood with my furry friends followed by breakfast before starting work. Every couple of hours I take a break to toss a ball and enjoy some outside time. When the work day wraps, we might head to a nearby forest preserve for a hike, walk along the Fox River Bike Trail, or take a leisurely stroll through the park, whatever matches your dog’s energy level. No matter what the day brings, your dog will have fresh air, exercise, and fun.
