I’ve had cats my whole adult life — three over the years, including Sid, a big black cat who moved with me across three states. I’m equally comfortable with dogs, at every size: I’ve petsat a Great Dane mix, a pit bull mix, and a Shih Tzu. I’ve looked after friends’ dogs more than a dozen times. I’ve also completed housesits through TrustedHousesitters and cared for family homes and pets, including a longer stay at my in-laws’ place. I’m comfortable giving medication, and I’m strict about routine — meals, meds, and walks happen when they’re supposed to. I love to cuddle up to give affection and I love a proper brushing session. My husband loves to train and to instigate play session. You’ll get photo updates without having to ask, and your home left the way I found it.

Schedule
Friday through Sunday I’m home, so we can accommodate any care requirements your pet has! Monday through Thursday I’m in the office. My husband is often home during the day, but he travels some weeks, so when it’s just me your pet needs to be comfortable alone for about six hours. Either way they’ll have full attention mornings, evenings, and overnight. I always know our schedules in advance and only confirm bookings where we can genuinely cover what your pet needs.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a house in Ballard in a three-story build, tall and narrow the way most homes here are. That shapes what we can offer, so it’s worth describing. There’s no yard, so dogs go out on leash for walks and potty breaks, and there are stairs throughout. None of it is a safety risk, we can easily block stairs when required. But your pet will encounter some, so smaller dogs who’d rather be carried should be a size we can lift comfortably. We’re happy to do whatever makes them feel settled. And we don’t have pets of our own, so yours has the house and our attention to themselves.
