Pet care experience

Happy House, Happy Hounds!

My family has owned and cared for dogs and cats since I was old enough to remember. My dog breed experience runs the gamut from Yellow Lab to Chihuahua and everything in between. So, I am comfortable with ‘multiple personality’ pooches! I have a chill Chihuahua (hard to believe I know) and a cat. They are very respectful of each other and both easily tolerate other dogs.

I am thrilled to write a testimonial for Sara P. as she is a great candidate for this position with Rover. She is reliable, responsible, enthusiastic, and loves walking and the outdoors. Sara has fostered a litter, has cared for friend's pups including mine, and adopted an older dog Charlie, whom she cares for with such patience and love. She understands his needs, keeps him on a schedule, and is flexible at times when needed. Sara's interpersonal and communication skills make her not only relatable to our canine friends but to all who come in contact with her. She has always been a truly devoted pet owner and I highly recommend her for this position.

I have a fenced in grass yard, perfect for small dogs, but still never leave my own dog outside unaccompanied. I have neighbors on both sides each with lovely dogs so there is always an opportunity for impromptu play dates.

Pets

A typical day

I make sure your dog feels happy, engaged, and cared for throughout the entire visit. I tailor playtime to your dog’s age, energy level, and personality—whether that means active games like fetch and tug-of-war, or gentle, enriching activities like puzzle toys and scent games. I provide plenty of attention, affection, and positive reinforcement to keep your pup relaxed and confident. My goal is to make every visit fun, stimulating, and comforting so your dog feels loved and entertained while you’re away.

I’m comfortable giving all kinds of medications—pills, liquids, ointments, and even injections. I take my time, stay gentle, and make sure your pet feels safe and relaxed. You can count on me to handle their meds correctly and keep an eye on them afterward so they’re feeling their best.
