Safety, trust & environment

I always prioritize the safety and well-being of the pets I care for. I ensure they're comfortable, follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, and engage in playtime tailored to their needs. I keep the environment clean, respect clients' homes, and communicate regularly to maintain trust and transparency. If it's my first time caring for your pet, I provide an optional care guide for you to fill out with questions about your pet like walking routes, food schedule, favorite toys, and more. For house sits specifically, this includes questions like where cleaning supplies are located and house care preferences like watering plants and getting mail.

Information Sara P. would like to know about your pet

Prior to your first meet and greet, please let me know if your pet has any sensitivities (sounds, smells), behavioral considerations (biting, excessive barking/growling), medical needs, or energy level (shy and reserved vs. high energy and playful). The more details you share, the better I can prepare.

A typical day

A typical day caring for your pet(s): Morning: Greeting your pet, outdoor bathroom breaks and/or litter box cleaning, breakfast according to your exact specifications, sending you an initial photo. Mid-Morning: Walks and playtime tailored to their energy level. High-energy dogs get active play; seniors or anxious pets get calm-paced walks and quiet time. I work remotely from your living room, keeping your pet nearby for attention and monitoring. Afternoon: Additional feeding or potty breaks if needed, more playtime or enrichment activities, yard maintenance, continued remote work with your pet nearby. Late Afternoon/Evening: Final outdoor break, dinner according to your schedule, wind-down time before bed. Throughout: High-energy dogs get multiple daily walks. Puppies get regular potty breaks and patient training support. Anxious or senior pets get calm routines that respect their pace. Cats get playtime tailored to their personality. Everything follows your exact instructions and preferences.

Caring Pet Sitter w/ Flexible Hours

Pet care experience

I have 3 years of hands-on pet care experience with a diverse range of animals, specializing in dog and cat care, with additional expertise caring for chickens, lizards, bunnies, and other pets. My clients appreciate my flexibility, attention to detail, and ability to handle both young puppies and senior pets with equal care and patience. I'm currently pursuing my dog behavioral training certification through GoodPup, giving me deeper insight into pet behavior and communication. I also bring an EVERLIT Pet First Aid Kit with me to every booking and walk—your pet's safety is my priority. What sets me apart is my commitment to exclusive, focused care. I don't have my own pets and I never double-book: your pet gets my complete, undivided attention. I work from home with flexible hours, which means I'm available throughout the day for their needs: morning and afternoon visits in a single day, weekend availability, or multi-week house sitting. This flexibility is especially valuable for puppies, seniors, and high-energy dogs that need consistent attention. My clients appreciate knowing their pet is receiving dedicated care in a calm, stress-free environment where I prioritize safety, respect your home, communicate transparently, and tailor care to each pet's unique personality.

Sara stayed in my home for 4 nights with my dog, Mara, who has severe separation anxiety. Sara prioritized her time with Mara, including not taking on additional clients during her stay, was clear about when she needed to be away from her, and asked questions when she wasn’t sure about something. Mara was very well taken care of and the house was spotless when we got home. (Sara even dealt with a little ant problem!) Will definitely hire Sara again. Thank you, Sara!

Sara has been great with Mara! We’ve hired her multiple times. She arrives on time, has been super flexible with schedule changes, and Mara loves her!

Sara was great taking care of our dood over the 4th of July. Due to it being a difficult time to find sitters we actually had 3 separate sitters in a row and Sara was right in the middle. Changed sheets and helped prepare for another sitter after her. So appreciative of this!!
