Information Sara L. would like to know about your pet
Emergency Preparedness & Safety Protocol Safety is my absolute priority. Having spent 20 years with animals, I have a "sixth sense" for when a pet’s behavior or health changes. We have a solid plan in place to ensure your pet is never at risk. 1. Immediate Communication In any emergency—whether it’s a minor scrape or a health concern—my first step is to contact you immediately via the Rover app or phone. I believe in total transparency and will keep you updated every step of the way. 2. 24/7 Veterinary Access Before the stay begins, I require the name and contact information for your preferred local veterinarian. I also keep the information for the nearest 24-hour Emergency Animal Hospital pinned in my home. 3. My Transportation Plan I have established a "Safety Network" for urgent situations: Emergency Contacts: You have local friends and neighbors on standby who can provide immediate transport if an animal needs to reach a clinic. Pet-Friendly Transport: I am proficient in using specialized pet-transport services or rideshare options that allow animals to ensure we get where we need to go, fast. 4. First Aid & Specialized Knowledge With two decades of experience, I am comfortable: Identifying early signs of bloat, heat stroke, or distress. Administering prescribed emergency medications. Keeping a pet calm and stabilized while help is on the way.
A typical day
Our Favorite Games: Classic Fetch: I love a good game of fetch! Whether it’s a ball in the yard or a plush toy in the living room, I’m always ready to keep the game going. Gentle Tug-of-War: For those who love to show off their strength, I’m happy to engage in a controlled, fun game of tug. "Find the Treat": Using my years of training experience, I love engaging a dog's nose. I hide treats or favorite toys and encourage them to use their natural instincts to find them. Sensory Play: For my senior or "special needs" friends who might not be able to run, we focus on tactile fun—lots of brushing, ear scratches, and gentle belly rubs. The "Spa" Experience (order pet bathing) I believe a happy dog is a clean and pampered dog. After we play, I enjoy: Brushing & Grooming: A great way to bond and keep your pet feeling comfortable. The "Clean & Cozy" Ritual: As I mentioned, I love a dog that is "prepared" and clean. If your dog enjoys it, we’ll make sure they are fresh and ready for a long evening of snuggles. Tailored to Their Personality Every dog is different. If your dog is a "couch potato," we will master the art of the afternoon nap together. If they are a high-energy athlete, we’ll play rounds of fetch until they’re ready for a long drink of water and a rest. I follow your lead on what your pet loves most! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ I’m the one who will spend one hour playing fetch in the hallway or yard until they’re happily tucked in for a nap!” I have a keen eye for spirit and personality. I capture special design photos of your pet throughout their stay—using natural lighting and close-ups to show their comfort and joy. I will send these digital updates to you daily so you never feel far away. 4. A Daily Log: What we played, how they ate, and their favorite nap spots. Their best behaviors and funny moments. Training Tips: Personalized advice based on my 20 years of experience.

Reviews

Took good care of our Labrador Finn while we were away for a week. Sara made sure he got walks and got to swim and spent lots of time with Finn. We had a really hard time booking with rover and them processing payment and paying Sara timely. Rover was terrible but Sara was easy to work with and patient while they figured it out.

Sara was wonderful!! This is as the first time leaving our 3yr old very anxious yorkie. We were very nervous pet parents and had a very long list of directions for our baby and home. Sara didn’t mind at all and was very understanding of our needs. Sara stayed with her the whole time did everything we asked. We came home to a clean home and happy dog. We are definitely grateful that we have someone to watch our dog for future events. Thanks so much Sara

Khelly was an incredibly devoted friend to our dog and family home! Her daily updates were fun for all of us and made us feel so confident that our dog was being well cared for. She is truly our dog’s best friend!

Khelly took great care of our fur babies for a week while we went to Florida. Getting the updates everyday and pictures gave us relief and knowledge that they were in good hands. Thanks Khelly.
