I’ve cared for dogs of all ages sizes and personalities for over 20 years. From playful puppies to wise elders, I bring abundance of patience, training skills, and a motherly touch. I honestly feel like they are all my babies! My approach is grounded in observation, love, and trust and I'm always noticing subtle changes in energy or mood. I notice the small things - subtle shifts in mood, appetite, or energy because they hold so much information. Meeting dogs where they are helps them feel safe, understood, and truly loved. They are just like us. With me, your pup can expect positive reinforcement training, nourishing home-cooked meals, zoomie playtime, snuggles, and plenty of long walks in Calgary’s beautiful parks. Their joy really is my joy. I also specialize in preparing homemade meals for dogs, tailored to their size, age, and health needs. If your pup is finicky or you’re unsure about committing to a recipe, I’m happy to start with a reduced portion the first time so we can make sure they enjoy the flavors. Meals can be prepared in your home or provided as frozen portions to keep on hand. Pricing depends on diet and portion, and we’ll always discuss what feels right for you and your pup. To make it easy, I use a simple intake form so we can quickly capture your dog’s preferences and get right to the fun part - their gourmet canine cuisine!

Trust is at the heart of how I care for animals. I know that for many of us, our pets are our children - they’re family, and they deserve to be treated with the same love and respect. I’m observant and intuitive, always noticing small shifts and tuning into what they need. And of course, what pet parents say goes - I’m happy to follow routines and instructions to a T so you feel completely at ease. Part of that care, for many families, also includes homemade meals, because good nutrition is a part and parcel of a safe and loving home.

Sara was absolutely wonderful with our Bernie. She was reliable, caring, and kept us updated throughout the stay with messages and photos, which gave us complete peace of mind. It was clear that he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. Sara went above and beyond to make sure all of our dog’s needs were met, and we could tell she genuinely loves animals. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter.
Sara did such an amazing job caring for our Bexley who was struggling with some health issues while we were gone. She took such extra care giving him his meds, regular walks, calming his anxiety, and even hand feeding him if necessary. She sent regular updates with pics and helped us to be away and know he was so well cared for. Our home was also left in excellent condition and she watered our plants as well. We would absolutely recommend and use Sara again.
Our dog sitter was an absolute pleasure to work with—such a genuinely kind and lovely person. She kept in regular contact while we were away, which gave us great peace of mind. We came home to a tidy house and a very happy pup, which says it all. You can truly tell she loves dogs and treats them like her own. I would happily recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring.

Schedule
I work flexibly as a creative, which allows me to shape my day around caring for your animal. I often alternate between focused creative work and long walks in Calgary’s beautiful parks, making me available for plenty of outdoor time, snuggles, and play. My schedule is highly adaptable, so I can prioritize your pet’s needs and routines - whether that means early morning snuggles, midday playtime, or long evening strolls. Service Areas: I live in McKenzie Towne, so for dog walking and drop-ins I focus on nearby neighborhoods for reliability. For house sitting and longer stays, I’m happy to travel further across Calgary and beyond.
