Availability
I am retired and recently widowed so am flexible with my availability. I have an elderly mother who lives nearby & I visit her several days a week for an hour or so. She too loves dogs & would be happy for me to take my new friends to visit her.

I have a good size, secure garden to play in. I have an elderly cat who doesn’t like dogs but fortunately it is easy to segregate him to one part of the house. This works well when my grand dogs come to stay. I don’t drive so all walks would be on the lead road walks but the garden is a great place to play ball. I’m happy to dog walk or feed/cuddle/brush cats/ Guinea pigs/rabbits that live within reasonable walk (or bus ride) from my home.

Pet care experience
My first word was Jas, our dogs name, a fact my mother frequently reminds me of. We then had Toby, a Golden Retriever who helped me learn to walk by allowing me to pull myself up using his ruff. Over the years my immediate family has had many pets and at one point we had 2 dogs, 5 cats, 9 Guinea pigs & 2 rabbits. As well as 3 children. Then there were the rats, Zippy,Bungle & George. So I have experience caring for a wide variety of fur babies. It’s been 15 years since I’ve had my own dog and now it’s just the cat & me. My eldest daughter (who lives abroad) has 6 dogs, 2 cats, 2 chinchillas, 2 ducks & 15 chickens. When I visit her there’s always a 4 legged furry who wants to play or is happy to cuddle. My younger daughter and my son have one dog each and as they both live in the UK I’m regularly asked to dog sit. My brother lives quite close by so I am lucky enough to have time with his adorable, ball crazy Sprocker.

Reviews
If you’re looking for a pet sitter who is responsible, attentive, and experienced, Sara is the one. We couldn’t recommend her more highly For over 15 years now we’ve always trusted her completely with our dogs, whether for just a night out or when we were away for short trips, Sara consistently stepped in with the same care, reliability, and trust as if it were her own home and pets. It’s clear she genuinely loves animals and has always lived around them. She follows their routines closely, makes sure they’re comfortable and well cared for while we’re gone. Knowing she was looking after them always gave us real peace of mind.
I’ve known Sara for a long time and she’s looked after all my animals. From my 60kg Leonberger cross (Sydney), to my miniature pinscher (Nelson), to my current dogs, a collie and Australian shepherd (Tess and Maya), as well as my cats over the years. She’s great with pets and they love her.
We can't recommend Sara highly enough. She's looked after our chorkie Basil for walks, day care and overnight stays whenever we've gone on holiday, and he's always completely at ease with her. It's clear she's genuinely experienced with animals as she's had many pets of her own over the years and it shows in how confidently and calmly she handles Basil. She's reliable (always on time, always in touch), friendly, and someone we trust completely with our dog and our home. We always come back to find Basil happy and well cared for, and we never worry when he's with her. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a sitter who genuinely loves what she does.
