I work from home, so your dog will have company and supervision throughout the day. Guest dogs are rarely left alone for more than a couple of hours, and if I do need to step out, all dogs are safely crated for everyone's security. Outside breaks are offered every 2–3 hours (or more often if needed), with plenty of opportunities for sniffing, play, and relaxation. Most days include two walks, enrichment activities, and, when weather permits, a longer hike or adventure around the adjoining 150-acre property using secure long lines. Dogs who enjoy the water may also have the opportunity to splash in the pond or explore the creek with owner approval. Every dog's activity level is adjusted based on their age, fitness, personality, and your preferences.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog's safety and comfort always come first. Every new guest is required to complete a meet-and-greet before booking so we can make sure everyone is a good fit. Because my own dogs share the home, I look for guests who are dog-friendly or dog-tolerant. New dogs are introduced gradually, and crate-free time with my dogs only happens after I've assessed everyone's comfort and temperament. Dogs are continuously supervised while together, and I carefully manage interactions to keep the environment calm and positive. My home features approximately half an acre of securely fenced outdoor space, along with access to 150 acres for on-leash adventures. Guest dogs are never off leash outside the fenced yard; long lines are always used when exploring. Dogs are welcome on the furniture unless you prefer otherwise, and I'll happily follow your household routines and care instructions to help your dog feel at home. Please note this is a hobby farm with chickens and sheep on the premise. They will be secured away from the guest dogs.

Before requesting a meet & greet, please make sure your dog is crate trained and current on vaccinations and parasite prevention. Please let me know about any medical needs, medications, allergies, fears, reactivity, resource guarding, escape tendencies, or prey drive around livestock or small animals. My goal is to provide a safe, low stress experience for every guest, so honesty helps ensure your dog is a good fit for Notalotta Acres.
A typical day
Every day is designed to balance activity, enrichment, and plenty of downtime. Mornings begin with a leisurely sniff walk or playtime in the yard before breakfast. After eating, everyone relaxes while they digest and settle in for a morning nap. Midday includes another potty break, outdoor time, and a chance to stretch their legs. In the evenings, weather permitting, we head out for a longer adventure such as a nature hike, a swim, or a walk through the creek. Before bedtime, everyone enjoys one last potty break and a short stroll. Between activities, guest dogs are free to relax indoors, nap on a comfy bed, watch the wildlife from the windows, or socialize with the other dogs. My goal is for every dog to feel like they're spending the weekend at a friend's house—not staying in a kennel. Because I only accept a limited number of guest dogs at a time, each dog receives plenty of individual attention, supervised play, and opportunities to simply relax and enjoy being part of the family. I am happy to customize any stay to accommodate your needs, including other enrichment (puzzle toys, Freezebones, extra walks, 1x1 play, etc)

Pet care experience
With over 15 years of hands on experience fostering more than 80 dogs, I've cared for puppies, seniors, medical cases, and dogs needing extra patience, confidence building, and socialization. Every dog is an individual, and I enjoy getting to know their unique personality and routine. I actively train (and occasionally compete) in agility, herding, trick training, scent and others with my dogs as well as helping introduce others to CPE Agility as an instructor at Clermont County Dog Training Club. This experience has given me a strong understanding of canine body language, safe introductions, and enrichment. I provide a calm, home based boarding experience with plenty of individual attention. I'm comfortable administering most medications, happy to follow your dog's routine, and require a meet-and-greet before every first stay. To ensure personalized care, I accept a maximum of two guest dogs (40 lbs or less) at a time.

Sara is such a loving and caring dog owner. She fostered my sweet dog Ivy and her baby Poppy who is now her own. When I adopted Ivy she would care for her when I would travel to visit my kids and grandkids in another state. I always knew she was in great hands. Sara loves animals and she would make an excellent caregiver for your fur baby. I highly recommend her!!!
Sara is great with animals! She kept my two Dobermans for a week and a half while I was on vacation and they looked like they were just as comfortable at her house as they would have been at mine in every photo she sent. Maybe even more comfortable at her house! 😂 I would definitely recommend using Sara to care for your fur babies! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
