Hi, I’m Sara! I’m a veterinary assistant with years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all kinds—dogs, birds, cats, horses and more! I’ve lived in the Roaring Fork Valley for 3 years and will be attending Colorado Mountain College this fall to become a vet tech. I have experience with pet sitting and dog walking, and I’m comfortable with pets of all ages, including seniors (I have one of my own!). I’m insured and committed to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate care for your pets like they’re my own.

I provide attentive, reliable care tailored to each pet’s routine, personality, and any specific medical or behavioral needs. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely to keep pets in their familiar environment and routine as stress-free as possible. This includes feeding on schedule, providing fresh water, administering medications if needed, cleaning up after them, and making sure they get appropriate exercise, enrichment, and affection. I also respect the client’s home by keeping it clean, secure, and exactly as I found it. My background working in a veterinary setting also helps me recognize signs of stress or illness early, so I can respond appropriately and communicate with the owner right away if anything seems off. My priority is always the pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being.

Sara was amazing with all of our pets including our big dogs! Even though there were several unexpected situations, Sara took everything in stride and was amazing with great communication.
Sara dropped in to visit our pup while we were traveling for the day. During her visits she was very responsive and thorough in her updates. Robin requires some additional attention on walks, Sara seemed while equipped to care of Robin’s quirks. I felt like Robin was in great hands while we were gone :)

Schedule
Pet care fits into my routine primarily on Fridays through Sundays, which I keep open for dog walking and pet sitting. I structure those days around the pets’ needs and scheduled visits, making sure I have consistent time blocks for feeding, walks, playtime, and check-ins so each animal gets reliable care and attention. I focus on maintaining the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible while still balancing my other responsibilities. Overall, I treat pet care as a dedicated part of my weekend schedule, with flexibility for longer stays when needed, while ensuring every pet receives consistent, reliable care.
