Pet care fits into my routine primarily on Fridays through Sundays, which I keep open for dog walking and pet sitting. I structure those days around the pets’ needs and scheduled visits, making sure I have consistent time blocks for feeding, walks, playtime, and check-ins so each animal gets reliable care and attention. I focus on maintaining the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible while still balancing my other responsibilities. Overall, I treat pet care as a dedicated part of my weekend schedule, with flexibility for longer stays when needed, while ensuring every pet receives consistent, reliable care.

Safety, trust & environment
I provide attentive, reliable care tailored to each pet’s routine, personality, and any specific medical or behavioral needs. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely to keep pets in their familiar environment and routine as stress-free as possible. This includes feeding on schedule, providing fresh water, administering medications if needed, cleaning up after them, and making sure they get appropriate exercise, enrichment, and affection. I also respect the client’s home by keeping it clean, secure, and exactly as I found it. If I am caring for pets in my own home, I maintain a safe, calm environment with constant supervision when pets are present. I ensure proper separation if needed, secure outdoor access at all times, and keep routines consistent with the owner’s instructions to reduce anxiety. My background working in a veterinary setting also helps me recognize signs of stress or illness early, so I can respond appropriately and communicate with the owner right away if anything seems off. My priority is always the pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being.
Information Sara C. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for a pet, I like to have a clear understanding of their routine, personality, and any special needs so I can provide the safest and most comfortable care possible. Important things to know ahead of time include feeding schedule and diet details, any allergies or medical conditions, and whether they require medications. It’s also helpful to know their typical behavior—such as how they do with new people, other animals, children, or being left alone—as well as any triggers like fear of loud noises, reactivity on leash, or separation anxiety.
A typical day
A typical day depends on the service booked, but I always structure my visits around keeping pets safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine. For pet sitting or drop-in visits, I start by following the owner’s instructions exactly—feeding meals at the scheduled times, refreshing water, and doing any required medication administration. After that, I focus on the pet’s energy needs, which might include walks, yard time, play, enrichment activities, or just calm companionship for more relaxed pets. I also make sure to handle the basics of care like cleaning litter boxes, picking up after dogs, checking that the home environment is safe, and ensuring doors/gates are secure before I leave. I pay attention to behavior changes, appetite, bathroom habits, and overall demeanor so I can quickly notice if something seems off. If I’m dog walking, a typical visit includes a leash check, a structured walk based on the dog’s energy level and training needs, and making sure they get both physical exercise and mental stimulation while staying safe in the environment. Throughout the day, I communicate with the owner with updates and photos so they know their pet is doing well.

Reviews

Sara was amazing with all of our pets including our big dogs! Even though there were several unexpected situations, Sara took everything in stride and was amazing with great communication.

Sara dropped in to visit our pup while we were traveling for the day. During her visits she was very responsive and thorough in her updates. Robin requires some additional attention on walks, Sara seemed while equipped to care of Robin’s quirks. I felt like Robin was in great hands while we were gone :)
I had the opportunity to supervise Sara in a previous role and can confidently say she is responsible, reliable, and genuinely caring. She’s detail-oriented, communicative, and never cuts corners. While she hasn’t cared for my own pets, I would fully trust her to provide safe, loving care. She truly has a heart for animals and treats every responsibility with care and attention.
I can’t recommend Sara highly enough as a dog sitter. She has years of hands-on experience caring for dogs at every stage of life. From energetic puppies who need structure, patience, and a lot of energy to senior dogs who require a gentler, more attentive approach, she is up to the task. What really sets Sara apart is how deeply committed she is to animal care. She’s not only an experienced dog owner, but she’s also actively pursuing her education to become a veterinary technician. That dedication shows in everything she does she’s knowledgeable, responsible, and always prioritizes the health, safety, and happiness of the pets in her care. Beyond her skills, she’s simply someone you can trust. She treats every dog as if they were her own, making sure they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. Any pet parent would be lucky to have her looking after their furry family member.
