Being in the client's home makes me feel safer for pets, so they'll be comfortable. Depending on the pet's personality, I know they'll have to get used to my presence, so there will initially be a familiarization process. I always ask my clients for a list of things the pet can and can't eat, and if they have food or insect allergies. Emergency contacts and veterinarian numbers. If you need help giving oral or topical medications, I can do that as long as they're not injections. From my own experience, I know that pets are more than that. I know they're family and very precious, so I care for my clients as if they were my own.

I always like to meet pets in advance, find out their routine, what they like and dislike, if they have any medical conditions or need special care. It's also important to know how they behave with other animals, if they're afraid of anything, or if there are any instructions from the vet. The more information I have, the better I can adapt to their needs and ensure they are calm, safe, and happy during the time I spend with them. For me, every pet is unique and deserves personalized care.

When I care for pets, I love making them have fun and feel loved, as if they were with their own family. If it's a dog, we go for walks, play fetch, or do short training sessions with treats. I make sure they burn off energy and also have moments of calm and affection. With cats, I respect their space a lot, but I also try to stimulate them with interactive toys, feathered wands, or tunnels to explore. If they enjoy contact, I give them gentle brushing or simply sit with them while they purr. Every pet has its own personality, so I always adapt to make them feel comfortable, entertained, and happy while they are in my care.

In my family, we've always had pets. My last pet was a German Shepherd, who died of an illness. In my home country, I helped my neighbors take care of or walk their pets when they didn't have time or were traveling.With my family's pets, I usually cared for them after school or when they wanted to go out of town, so I was in charge of them while my family was away. I can administer oral or topical medication, but I don't give injections. If the pets have a special diet, I can prepare it and serve it to them. My experience ranges from small to large breeds. As such, I don't know how to train pets, but I have taught the pets I care for a few tricks.

Sara was the absolute best person to look after Newton. Our elderly cat needs attention and is anxious when left alone. While we were away, she updated us regularly with regards to his feedings, medication applications and how he was doing. She took great care in making sure he was comfortable and his needs were tended to. We can't say enough good things about her care for Newton and her respect while being in our home. Took fantastic care of my cat, Sly. Went above and beyond what was needed and I returned to a space that was even cleaner than what i had left! Highly recommend.
I have a German Shepherd named Max, who's incredibly energetic. Sara was excellent with him from day one. She knew how to manage his strength, took him for walks with discipline but also with lots of affection, and respected all his eating and play times. When I returned, he was happy, clean, and calm.
Sara was a true angel to my cat Simon while I was away. He's elderly and needs daily medication, and she not only followed all the instructions to the letter, but she also spoiled him. She sent me photos and updates every day, which gave me so much peace of mind. I highly recommend her.
