I work full time as a vet tech so if I am dog sitting, I either stay over and take care of your pets before and after work or I will pop in before and after work. On days I don't work, I work around your pet's needs. If they are fine with something quick and are fine to be home alone or if they need company for an extended amount of time. I am very flexible.

When I am in your home I am very respectful. I am here for your animals and don't want to cause any unnecessary mess in your house! I talk out loud and talk to your pets. I give love and affection for those who want it and give space to those who want it. I do not force myself onto your pets, if they don't want affection, I won't make them.

I would like to know about any allergies, toy/treat likes and dislikes, if they have experience with other dogs and people, and if they have any training (basic commands, leash, etc). If they have anxiety: any triggers they have to avoid.
A typical day
Dogs: I usually come over and walk them. Depending on how the weather is outside determines how long we stay out there. After we finish outside I spend the rest of the time hanging out with your dog. In the past if the dog I’m watching is dog friendly and the owners approve, I’ve brought my dog over to play. Cats: cats are hit or miss when it comes to new people in their space so I will go off of what the individual cat needs. If they’re a reserved/skittish cat I do what needs to be done (whether that’s medication, feeding, litter box cleaning, etc) in a way that lessens their stress quickest. If they’re more outgoing/friendly I spend time giving them affection and playing.

Hello, my name is Sarafina and I am vet tech who has 3 cats, 3 dogs, 1 axolotl, and a bunch of plants! In my spare time I show my Shar-Pei in dog shows and do dog sports. I am comfortable taking care of dogs and cats of all ages and am comfortable giving oral/transdermal/injectable medications.
