Hi there! I'm a dog lover seeking part-time dog loving to help cope with my time away from my family's dogs, Gus & Buddy. I grew up with a high energy cockapoo, Gus, and I can't imagine what my childhood would have been like without playing and caring for him. My family also adopted Buddy, a poodle and terrier mix, when I was 13. Buddy is the exact opposite of Gus in almost every respect. He's low energy, thinks toys are pointless, and basically just likes to sleep. Fine by me -- because of his personality, I have experience with mellow and high-energy dogs. My time growing up with two dogs has made me accustomed with all aspects of a dog's life, from the puppy years to the elderly years. Other than feeding, washing, playing and letting out the dogs, I'm used to walking my dogs at least twice a day. I'm also comfortable preparing special meals (i.e. for kidney failure) and giving medication (i.e. for fleas) to the dogs. In the past, I've also housesat/dogsat for my neighbors while they were on vacation. An ideal dog sitting day after the feedings (with the ideal weather) would be getting some outdoor time; rather it be sitting out on the deck or walking out to a neighborhood park and playing there for a bit. I will probably want to know a lot about your dogs when we first meet so that I can make sure they receive excellent care. I love finding out about their favorite games, toys, foods, any information that can help me make them as comfortable as possible while you're away.
