I grew up with dogs and I recently lost my 19 year old doxie mix. I can’t imagine not having pups around, but not yet ready to adopt, so dog sitting has made so happy. I have been volunteering with animal rescues for over 20 years including an animal hospice and the ASPCA as both an adoption counselor and a dog walker - this gave me valuable hands-on education in dog walking safety, reading canine body language, and supporting dogs of all temperaments. Currently, I volunteer with Badass Animal Rescue, where I help with marketing, events, and dog handling. Whether it’s a shy rescue or a high-energy puppy, I love connecting with each dog’s unique personality and making sure they feel safe, loved, and happy. And full disclosure — I’m a little bit of a helicopter surrogate pup mom 🐶💖. I pay close attention to each dog’s needs, quirks, and comfort level. I’ll make sure they’re happy, secure, and getting all the care and attention they deserve (plus plenty of cuddles and photo updates for you!). Sara was absolutely fantastic. This was our puppy Crumble's first time being left with someone outside of his home environment, so naturally we were a little nervous. Sara arranged a meet-and-greet beforehand, and from the moment we met her, all of our concerns were put to rest. She is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and clearly has a genuine love for dogs. Throughout the day, she kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us complete peace of mind. It was so reassuring to see how settled and happy Crumble was in her care. He had a fantastic day, and we wouldn't hesitate to leave him with Sara again. We couldn't recommend her more highly!
Sara really goes above and beyond! We felt reassured by her frequent updates while we were abroad and our dog loves spending time with her. She can’t wait to visit Sara again!

Programa
I work from home so I will be home all day with the pups. I take the dog(s) I watch on multiple walks a day or to the dog park depending on your preference.

I’m in an elevator building in Park Slope / Gowanus area. I have a medium sized studio with endless amount of toys and a dog friendly patio that’s completely fenced in. Dog parks are walkable, as is Prospect Park.
Un día normal
When pups are here I want them to have a great time - we typically take several long walks and will go to either the dog park or Prospect Park (depending on what their humans are comfortable with!). The building has a 2500 sq foot fenced in patio that dogs love to play fetch on. I have endless toys and many dog beds.
