Hi, I’m Kara :) I’m based in Hampstead, and have a bike so I can travel easily and pretty flexibly location wise. Dogs have been a big part of my life for the last 11 years. I cared for my own dog, Simba, through every stage of his life- from early training to the extra support and medication he needed in his old age. I still stay closely involved with dogs through my family’s one year old puppy, Leo (who I now live with) as well as looking after friend’s and other family’s dogs too. Altogether, these experiences have made me confident and capable when it comes to caring for dogs of all sizes, ages and temperaments. I‘m DBS checked and always will provide safe, reliable and compassionate care. I look forward to hearing from you!

Safety, trust & environment
My priority is to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I will take time to understand their usual schedule: feeding times, walks, play and rest, so they feel secure in their familiar environment with me. I will of course respect the owner’s home, keeping everything tidy and secure and am happy to provide updates to the owner as the time passes if they would like.

Kara was lovely with Alfie. Super prompt, efficient and easy in communicating and proving updates. She was also very gracious with being flexible at short notice. Alfie instantly took to her and enjoyed walkies with her. I would be delighted for Kara to take care of Alfie again.

Schedule
I have just graduated university and so recently moved back to my family home before I go back into education to start my masters. This means I have plenty of free time and a lot more flexibility than I used to have within the week to adjust my schedule to your dog :)

- Before caring for your dog it’s important for me to know their routine, temperament and any medical or dietary requirements. I also like to know how they behave around other dogs and new people- especially as I have another dog (a little cockapoo) and there will be two other adults in the house at most hours of the day. Do they have any favourite activities or anything specific that might make them feel anxious? Are they good with recall and being off leash? Are they normally allowed on furniture? This helps me give them the best care possible and keep them safe and happy.
