Trusted and loving dog carer
Hi, I’m Kara :) I’m based in Withington, and have a bike so I can travel easily and pretty flexibly location wise. Dogs have been a big part of my life for the last 11 years. I cared for my own dog, Simba, through every stage of his life- from early training to the extra support he needed in his old age. I still stay closely involved with dogs through my family’s one year old puppy, who I visit regularly and looking after friend’s and other family’s dogs too. Altogether, these experiences have made me confident and capable when it comes to caring for dogs of all sizes, ages and temperaments. I‘m DBS checked and always will provide safe, reliable and compassionate care. I look forward to hearing from you!

Schedule
I’m about to graduate university with the hopes of staying in Manchester until mid September. I will be working a part time job during this time, meaning I’ll have most days of the week available.

Safety, trust & environment
My priority is to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I will take time to understand their usual schedule: feeding times, walks, play and rest, so they feel secure in their familiar environment with me. I will of course respect the owner’s home, keeping everything tidy and secure and am happy to provide updates to the owner as the time passes if they would like.
A typical day
I’ll keep your dog active, engaged and happy with a mix of fun and safe activities. This will include plenty of one on one time. For instance, walks in local parks to games like fetch or treat brain games. However, for older or more relaxed dogs, I will focus on gentle play and ensuring they feel secure.
