Potty training/abilities; age and size; socialization with other animals; play preferences; energy level; training received/commands known; barking habits; aggression level; If the dog is crate trained, I do have crates upstairs and down.
A typical day
Walks, backyard roaming, play-time, treats, etc. I can help them learn to heal and sit too. I love to take long walks in the forest preserves and often take my clients with for some fun and exercise. We sleep with the dogs if their family allows and the dog want to. Exceptions are dogs over 100 pounds!

Pet care experience
I've been working with Rover for six years, and have really enjoyed the challenge! Each dog's personality requires time and attention to develop a relationship, and I am proud that dogs we host tend to be super comfortable with us; some even RUNNING into our home when they arrive! :) My own dogs passed away almost ten years ago now, so my husband and I are happy to host yours. in 2000, I adopted a five-year-old beagle-shepherd mix who had been used as bait in the fighting rings. Her boundless and unconditional love for eleven years never ceased to amaze. Caring for your pets would be an honor for me. I do expect that they have decent manners (no eating furniture and potty trained) and, in exchange, I will love them up and keep them safe when you are traveling or otherwise unavailable. I give your pooch lots of attention, since my husband and I are both semi-retired. In a few instances, I have taken clients' dogs to weekly training classes as well (you have to do the homework, though!). I do charge a little more than average, and guarantee boutique-level care.
Reviews

Sent lots of updates on our dog and she was so well loved while we were out of town. Awesome rover!!
Sandy was absolutely fabulous! We received updates daily and our dog was happy as a clam!!!

We had a great experience. Our dog can be a little nervous, but he seemed very comfortable and relaxed the whole time. Sandy sent regular updates and pictures, which gave us real peace of mind. It was clear he was well cared for and happy. We truly appreciated everything and would absolutely book again.

Sandy is absolutely the best. We were in a pinch to find someone to watch our dog Brutus and a bit nervous having to leave him with someone he wasn't familiar with, but he had a great time. Exceptional communication from Sandy, with lots of updates and pics. But most importantly our needy dog got lots of TLC. Definitely will book with her again. Highly recommend. A++.
